disappointed / issue resolved
looked as black and sticky like tar and tasted like salt; mixed 1 tea spoon of this with 5 table spoons of water and the mixture still tasted like salt; threw it away. big waste of money.updated on 09/27/2018. I greatly appreciate the vendor's quick responses on this issue. It turned out that this product is not what had in mind when I purchased it. Either I did not use it correctly due to the unfamiliarity with the product or the product was not intended to be used as I did. However, the vendor was understanding and refunded the purchase price. I do want to offer 5 Stars for the Customer Service.

This stuff is the best... but use sparingly.
Gravy Brothers is without a doubt the best au jus mix, concentrate or whatever that I've ever come across. I like it a whole bunch better than Johnny's which, to me, has a rather odd taste. One caveat, however. Use it sparingly. A little goes a long way. Those who've knocked this for being too salty are doing just that. Start with a 1/4 tsp and add if you need. Always use boiling water and you won't be disappointed. I just placed an order for two more jars and will continue to make sure I always have a spare jar on hand. Obviously, Gravy Bros gets my highest recommendation.

Good concentrate
Only complaint I have with this is it has MSG in the ingredients, which gives me a headache in large quantity. Otherwise it is an excellent au jus for Italian beef sandwiches.

Well crafted
This is the fines at his base, I have found. Less salty, with a fine beefy flavour.I use this fore Italian beef and sausage, beef stews, adding flavour too chilli and soup, even a cup of broth on cool nights.With Addison of spices, I am able too create a multitude of variations.Very fine product

Absolutely wonderful Au Jus!
I purchased this Au Jus for my Prime Rib roast on NY Eve, the Johnny's Au Jus that I normally purchased is no longer available at my local store. This is my new "go to" Au Jus, it's absolutely delicious and not overly salty. I highly recommend!

Better than bouillon cubes, a superior taste and texture
This is a very good base, an improvement on bouillon cubes and can be relied on, even you wish to add a few accents or seasonings to tweek it.

Delicious Au Jus
Love French dip sandwiches and this au jus is delicious and I am taking it on vacation for my family to try. Very easy to prepare.
