After determining how low you want the fixture to hang, you'll have to pry open a link to remove the excess chain. The wire that runs through the links can be trimmed with wire cutters.

How long is the lead wire? Not the chain, but the actual wire.

It's already up, but I know the wire was longer than the chain.

What bulbs did you buy that do not show the inside metal?
