I truly appreciate Levenda and Delonge deep research on this subject matter, Jacques Vallee introduction sets the right tone from the get go, sbout the birth of humanity and this phenomena being presence since then, at times aiding to our progress, at times at war with it. Delonge states that our mythology, and most of the world ancient religions are a direct result of interaction with this phenomena, Levenda summarized it brilliantly with his analogy to "The Cargo Cult" during WW2 in the Pacific, a historical fact. This is the 1st of a trilogy non-fiction starting with The God question, follow by Man creation and place on the universe, and Machines as a technological advancement to be partner with a much needed higher Consciousness, the final key!. The last piece of the puzzle. Make no mistake about, Podesta Wikileaks accidentally exposed Delonge as a key player in the conditioning of the American people to be ready for disclosure. This phenomena has been here for millennia & it is well documented all over the world across all cultures and religions. Humanity isn't yet condition enough to face the next Paradigm Shift taking shape, and in this book of Tom Delonge a more subtle disclosure is presented, that won't produce shockwaves as to disrupt the status quo of the nation or the entire world. A look into the relationship of ancient history, mythology, and religion is worth the read, very entertaining at the very least. Pay closer attention to ancient Shamanism, to the Vedic-Indians (Asia), Native Americans, Mesopotamia, Jewish, Egyptian cultures, and especial attention to Greek mythology Delonge was advice on multiple occasions by top brass & government officials. This phenomena is in the same category as PSI, NDE, paranormal activity, and alter states of mind either achieve by prayer, meditation, or shamanic induced states. This is a fight for the hearts, minds and souls of humanity, in the context of the development of humanity as a whole, a quantum leap to live in harmony with our fellow man, or more of the same stuff ( wars, hunger, inequality, injustice, etc), unless with mature enough to acquire a higher state consciousness. I read through the partner book Sekret Machines: Chasing Shadows which just made my mind think in ways I didn't imagine possible. I adored that book so much that I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. I'm a fan of both Peter Levenda and Tom Delonge and I've been super impressed by Delonge's almost lifetime of research into this phenomenon. I always adored his passion and that passion reads well with the help of all his co-authors. I've read through a good bit of this book now and I don't want to put it down. I'm liking the style of this and how different it is from Chasing Shadows. I'm not even finished with this book yet and I'm already eager for book two. I don't want it to end! It reads very well and you can tell that there was a lot of research that went into Gods. Some of the details give me goosebumps and gets me so excited. I've been waiting for a book of this kind for so long. I've been super passionate about this subject and I haven't found a book that could keep me intrigued the way this one does along with Chasing Shadows. It is a lot shorter than Chasing Shadows for those overwhelmed by the length of that book. It's 392 pages long, not including the endnotes or index. I love how each chapter has a title along with artwork. It's a lovely touch. I'm so impressed by the amount of information in this book. It's a lot more informative than I thought. Five stars. It's a must read for anyone who's passionate or even curious about this subject matter. This is truly one of the most important pieces of literature of it's kind.

Just finished Sekret Machines: Gods. In a few words, it's a must read, even if you disagree with the premise. Like the rest of the Sekret Machines series, it sheds some light on the rationale of the TTSA alumni and those connected to them. The book lists Tom DeLonge and Peter Levenda as the authors, but it's pretty clear Levenda has written everything or nearly everything. DeLonge likely provided the topic, and maybe made some introductions. The central premise of the book is that all religions today are cargo cults created to explain extraordinary events involving otherwordly visitors. A bit like the ancient astronauts theories, except focusing on the important concepts and commonalities, rather than Vimanas and annunaki. It is less about the UFOs and mostly about religion. The book looks at Sumerian, Hebrew, Indian, Chinese, Aztec, Christian, Greek religions and finds odd commonalities that are unlikely to emerge naturally. Why are deities connected to heaven (unlike, say, spirits dwelling in forests)? Wouldn't it be a long commute to work? Why do so many creation myths involve a struggle between two celestial factions, and a race of giants or demigods that possibly interbred with humans? Why does connection to deities require altered states of consciosness? Why were the human sacrifices so common? Why is eternal life or afterlife associated with heaven? Why is the wheel associated with the sky so prominent in some religions? At one point (location 1659 in Kindle) the book does a WTF, and moves from the discussion of religious texts to the following passage: "In our discussions with such controversial figures as Bob Lazar and others who wish to remain anonymous we learned that a major obstacle facing the scientists who wanted to re-engineer the captured alien spacecraft was the control issue. Without coming on one side or the other on the validity of the `captured alien spacecraft` we wish to point out that the difficulty how to control a vehicle that had no visible means of steering or velocity control - or even an ignition switch - may be an allusion to how the ancients experienced these same 'vehicles'." While the main claim is very compelling, Levenda makes a pretty unreliable narrator. He brings up fringe stuff like Orion correlation theory claiming the age of the pyramids in Egypt to be over 10,000 years despite carbon dating and overwhelming evidence; mashes together panspermia and some sort of DNA memory; brings up medieval grimoires and magic to assume that the UFOs are there to "summon" and control earthlings from another dimension, because both are circular (?). Why? Dunno. Was it one party, several parties? Who knows, the book doesn't try to analyze that. It does make a conclusion though that the force is hostile, because we keep fighting over differences in race and religions... and they are to blame for that? Dude, you just said the religions were cargo cults, meaning, they have no control over how the early humans interpreted the spectacle. The book is meticulously researched. I reached about 72% in Kindle and was surprised to see the book was over, the rest were footnotes. Having said all that, it is really a must read for two reasons. First, it helps to understand the mindset of TTSA / possibly Jacques Vallee and his Invisible College. Second, the study itself is very interesting, and the book's main argument (sans the side claims and conclusions) is very convincing.

Being a long-time student of anomalous phenomena, and a fan of both Jacques Vallee and Peter Levenda's work, I couldn't wait to read this book. (I had never heard of Tom DeLonge or Blink, so that speaks to my age and orientation, I guess). I found this book to be a dense, detailed, well-documented, and skillfully (if at times a bit shakily) reasoned argument for . . . what, exactly? I raced through the book in a day, and got lost among the trees! But a book like this begs for more than one reading, and I am eager to go right back to the beginning and start it again, more slowly and thoughtfully this time, now that I know how it is laid out. The Chapter Notes are all placed at the end of the book. They are interesting. Also included in these are the resources used to document the material in each chapter. There are references to further reading on a wide array of topics. UPDATE: I have completed a second reading of this book and offer a few more thoughts. First of all, read the Introduction! I was so eager to get into the book that I skipped it---big mistake. Jacque Vallee's Introduction clarifies the aims and methods of the book, and provides a lantern for the reader to carry through the dense background material, much of which is not new to many of us, but is still a lot to take in. But the authors are laying down the groundwork for their case; they weave the threads from many mythologies/"real" events together, arriving at a global view of them all. I had hoped for some new, more explicit information of UFOs, abductions, and related topics from this book. But, I reminded myself, this is only the first of a three volume series. There is much information yet to come, if the second and third volumes live up to the first. Of the specific UFO information provided, one section in particular, WAS new and startling to me, and that was rewarding.

This book is as intriguing as it is frustrating to say the least. As someone whose experienced strange things when growing up, and who has followed UFOs since before being a teenager, this topic has held great interest. Wanting to find out more on the subject, books on the subject always felt like a natural go-to in order to stay in touch with the situation and learn more about it. That’s why when new books come around, such as this one, it peaks my curiosity in certain ways. Having been familiar with some of Levenda’s work, and others such as Richard Dolan, Jim Marrs, etc. this book held decent hopes for me. Sekret Machines: Gods: Volume 1 Of Gods Man & War by Tom DeLonge and Peter Levenda is an intriguing book, but not without its flaws. The book does bring about a considerable amount of information on the subject of the UFOs from a broad point of view. Throughout the book, the authors present considerable information that couples to everything from the paranormal, ancient civilizations, the occult, and more. The authors do a fair job of supplanting the book with a veritable amount of sourced material. This definitely gives the book some veracity. Footnotes are detailed at the end of each chapter, which makes for ease of access which is great. When one has to slog back and forth to the end of a book to conduct verify sources it gets painstakingly asinine. This footnote format certainly streamlines access to that information and is very much appreciated. The only one better would be with footnotes at the bottom of the page, since it is the most efficient. As an introductory volume to this topic, the book does a good job. The book could have been better, but it could have certainly been worse. The best book out there as an introductory volume to the phenomenon is hands down Richard Dolan’s UFOs For The 21st Century Mind: A Fresh Guide To An Ancient Mystery. Those seeking a more solid foundation from which to jump-off are encouraged to ruminate upon that book. Now to the bad. The book features sections that could have been better served by some serious editing of run on sentences that give Hemingway a run for his money. Well, perhaps not THAT bad all of the time, but bad enough for it to be noticeable and take away from the content. Also, one particular point that was quite disconcerting is the fact that the authors take a unilateral point of view of making it seem like UFOs can only be explained by the alien mythos. While this is certainly one possibility, and one with some solid grounding, it is not the only one, and not by far. Dr. Joseph P. Farrell, Walter Bosley, and others have come up with an equally arguable case that argues for human ingenuity as one possible way to explain some UFOs. Additionally, when one couples the possibility of human ingenuity with certain incisive issues such as Military Abductions [MILABS] then one has an exact mirror for the phenomenon that’s equally disturbing in certain respects. The point of me stating this is not to convince anyone of one possibility or another, far from it. It’s simply to put the light the fact that there’s extensive evidence by Farrell & Bosley which shows an alternative to the unilateral assertion that extraterrestrials are behind everything. In fact, one could argue that the authors’ belief in the ET-only hypothesis is dogmatic, and it would be hard to argue against it. The fact the authors chose the “Cargo Cult” jargon for humanity speaks volumes of how low they see humanity on the totem pole, even though evidence abounds of there being more than their conformist point of view. If you haven’t read any UFO books, or are a fan of DeLonge’s work, you will probably find some value in this book. Farrell Covert Wars And Breakaway Civilizations: The Secret Space Program, Celestial Psyops & Hidden Conflicts by Dr. Joseph P. Farrell Cover Wars & Clash Of Civilizations: UFOs, Oligarchs and Space Secrecy Dr. Joseph P. Farrell Origin: The 19th Century Emergence Of The 20th Century Breakaway Civilizations The sad part is that the scope of this phenomenon is wider and more intriguing than what many people state it is. That’s why the books above are mentioned, for those seeking further information in order to be able to decide for themselves whether ET really is the only actor in this stage, or if there’s more to this abstruse topic. Ultimately, what you think is up to you. But to be able to come to a decision one has to know the resources available, and at least now some know part of what’s out there and can make up their own mind on the matter.

I can't say this is an easy read or one that you can skim through in a few days for a facile speculation about ufos, but it is one that can change the way you think about human history, the Phenomena and many of humanity's cherished belief systems, and that is challenging. In many ways, Gods: Volume 1 is a complement to Jacques Vallee's Passport to Magonia. Ufos and the mysterious phenomena that occurs with them are nothing new. They date back into our distant past, and may well have been observing/influencing us long before we were aware. In fact, our observers may not be extraterrestrial as we know it. They may co-exist with us, unseen unless they wish otherwise. I welcomed the scholarship of Peter Levenda, who doesn't usually work in the ufo field, to collaborate with Tom Delonge in researching ancient historical records. Their hypothesis is based on the cargo cult theory, that at some point in our distant history, our ancestors witnessed these visitors and echoes of that are evident in our ancient and modern religions. Why does mankind believe in gods? There are many intriguing questions along that vein that are explored in this first part of the series. There are stories across all cultures of mankind walking and talking with the gods. This book's intent is deeper than Ancient Aliens or Van Daniken. It goes to the root of how much has humanity been influenced by this phenomena. It doesn't discount human ingenuity or genius, but it does ask the hard question of how many of ours and our ancient forbears fundamental beliefs were influenced by something "other" that was witnessed, not fully understood, but attempted to be emulated and assimilated. A thought provoking addition to the genre.

As a lover of ancient history & mythology, I enjoyed how this book tackled the enormous undertaking of weaving a web of connections among the syncretic myths and religions of world cultures throughout recorded human history. It did a great job of going into enough detail to be dense with factual information (and their speculative implications) without taking up unnecessary time & space rewriting the entire works of others like Joseph Campbell, Max Muller, Carl Jung, etc. I appreciated the authors briefly & skeptically addressing ancient astronaut theorists like Zechariah Sitchen and Von Daniken (by name), while not directly mentioning other names & possibly casting dubious light on the work of those like Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval, etc. I feel this kept things light for first-time readers believability-wise, and avoided passing any unnecessary judgement on their research. I see how people not so interested in the ancient/historical side of things may have been disappointed, but to them I would say that this book laid the necessary groundwork to introduce the idea that the Phenomenon spans so much more than flying saucers in the desert and little green men watching from the skies. For the non-awakened, it slowly but surely hints at the all-encompassing nature of consciousness being the key, and introduces core psychological concepts that will lead to a truer understanding of the following volumes. While it may seem pandering at times for those in the know, I applaud Tom & Peter for appealing to a new, larger audience in a comprehensive yet digestible manner, as is the clear intention of the series.

Historical context is immensely important in understanding how schemas are created, conventions are formed, and perceptions of reality evolve. This book creates a rock solid foundation for what is unraveling in society today. The truth is, since the earliest of times, mankind has done its best to interpret and record experiences by using means that have been inherently limited by how far along they’ve come in the evolutionary process. This book dives deep into analyzing, and interpreting, the information our distant ancestors have left. The authors incorporate high quality research into their multidisciplinary approach in teaching others of their findings. They intertwine biology, physics, psychology, philosophy, historical texts/artifacts, religion, and spirituality to form a remarkably complete picture that depicts surprisingly strong evidence that indicates we’ve been interacting with otherworldly (so far...) phenomena since the dawn of mankind. This book is a must read for all those who value, and prioritize, a logical and scientific approach to the subject matter of UAP’s, and extra-terrestrials.

Wonderful book to point you in the direction where to look to begin to understand uaps/ufos and our human history/condition. But my main issue is that the writer is extremely vague and sometimes rants off in odd parables. It's almost like he's having an inner dialogue and is taking us along for the ride instead of just actually explaining what he means. Still a must-read of youre researching this subject, and I deeply appreciate TTS and especially Tom for everything he's done for this subject

I have to admit, this is one of the most difficult books I have ever read. Sekret Machines: God challenged every notion I ever held about religion. As an avowed atheist, I was dragged kicking and screaming to the realisation there is far too much commonality across all religions, over all time periods, for there to not be some overarching truths connecting all religions. Whether we assign these overarching truths to the existence of a seemingly endless parade of Gods, or whether we can attach these truths to another source of superior beings, who also reside in the skies, is really the ultimate question. Tom DeLonge and Peter Levenda patiently and comprehensively examine the commonalities of many religions, both current and ancient, and lead the reader to the conclusion that the stories around gods are based in some form of truth. However, bubbling under the surface is the question of whether we are looking at gods or are we dealing with some other interstellar beings; perhaps they are one and the same. This book is not snack-time reading. Sekret Machines: Gods is a well-written but technical analysis. I found myself having to read and re-read many, many sections of the book, to ensure I fully understood what was being presented. Having said that, I found the book to be incredibly interesting, convincing and fully worth the time I invested into reading it. If you accept the challenge of reading this book, take the time to understand it, as it will help many things click together in the second book in this trilogy, Sekret Machines: Man. I thoroughly recommend this book.
