BladesUSA HK-079A Fantasy Medievel Battle Axe with Display Plaque, 21-Inch Length

I bought this to be a part of a barbarian Halloween costume. This isn't a toy, and it isn't really just costume quality. This axe is heavy, solid, sharp and a beautiful piece. I suspect that the real barbarians of their day never had anything like this to rely on. Retired, military and law enforcement, my idea of a "weapon" is a Benelli M4, but in a world without guns, this thing would do. Hard to believe they can sell this for this money.

its a small axe, of course, seems to be very durable and the handle is great, there is a small wiggle on a wooden part, that's about it tho,m for a decoration it does not matter much, easy to hang, just 2 screws, comes with protections which I have put on in case of an earthquake because my gods sleep around it, that's about it!

product came in a box with formed fit Styrofoam around the Axe. This box was in a larger box with paper packing, it arrived in perfect condition. It is heavy for its size of about 20 inches long and very well made. Blade is sharp and made of metal about an 1/8 inch thick it has plastic tubing covering the edges to prevent cutting until you remove them. Really nice its what I have been looking for a long time and will make a great display piece the wall mount is really nice also..

Yes, awesome, beautiful, sharp and metal blade and handle. NOT awesome is the black stem which is the cheapest plastic or possibly fiberglass. It WILL break. Not for chopping or any battle. ONLY for display.

I've recently started to collect midevil weaponry. And to tell the truth it's hit and miss!!! Sometimes you get a quality product, sometimes garbage!!! This is an absolute hit!!!!!! The craftsmanship is incredible!!!!! The weight and balance is perfect! And it actually came fairly sharp!! But once I put a real edge on it, it became an absolute weapon!!!!! And added bonus the hilt is wrapped with wire!!! Usually you get cheap felt tape!!!!! I will definitely order from this company again!!! They obviously care about quality!!!!!

I was looking for a nice Axe for a while and based on the reviews of this product I decided to purchase this. I can't stress enough that for the price you pay for this product even knowing the reviews given beforehand this completely still exceeded my expectations! I will try and give more of a descriptive review than others to try and justify better for you why this purchase was so great: 1) for the price given you are given great quality in return; as most collectors know you get what you pay for but price wise this exceeds and justifies dollar amount 2) though it is simplistic in design for fantasy there is still an elegance factor that this axe provides 3) this is a solid piece of steel - it is not light and has a good and comfortable weight to it. (You feel like a warrior holding it :) 4) Blades on mine (both sides) were sharp (note: this is certainly not meant for toy use) both were very secure and attached there was no movement on mine or "jiggle" effect happening 5) the handle is secure upon inspection of the coil wiring there were no spacing happening on mine it was coiled tightly and together If you really have to pick up on negative things (concerning price wise you shouldn't; three things) 1) on the very bottom part of the handle below the coiling (not in any of the middle silver sections) but on the top tip the metal does show little smudges ~warped kind of "casting" or "welding" type smudges, but these are not huge in any way and it is upon close inspection 2) the black middle section ~unsure of the material used (but in no way don't expect excellent quality leather) Note: the quality given though does not take away from the look of the axe overall. In my opinion the slight texture of the material along with the design factor in the tapered slender shaping happens to be why I love this weapon so much and why it holds as I mentioned before that "elegance", "wow" factor; it's just beautiful!! 3) Just a note on the blades there definitely (at least with mine) was a solid good side "display" and not so good side. There were a lot more "smudges" on the one side that displayed the "Stainless China" logo (which I dub ~the back side) , both sides could use a bit of polishing though; one more than the other. Just trying to give a most honest, critical review ~ Overall though, given price wise there's a reason why it maintains a 5 star review, I love this axe, it's awesome, solid, made well, strong throughout and a great addition to any collection!! ~hope this review helps any future seekers!! ~yours truly

The manufacturer describes this as “one of the best...on the market”. Taking into account my unbelievably extensive shopping history,I dare say I qualify as being able to contest this. This is unquestionably THE best. I don’t expect you would purchase this for lumber jacking or to be hacking and whacking at various and sundry of the citizenry.That being said,this axe is an attractive and sturdy display piece.But,why not display it close to hand? If you find yourself in need of a last,best friend,this could be a very good one.
