Great cylinder, easy for me to fit but I have the Allen key needed to remove and refit the switch.
It's a quality lock cylinder. I've noticed some reviewers say they had to file off the flange. This is not necessary if you have a suitable Allen key (Hex key). You need to remove the thumb turn first, with a small Allen key, and refit the switch after the internal handle is in place. I like it. 5 keys is a good number of keys too.

Not a two minute job!
Good quality for the price but the thumb turn is bigger than a standard escutcheon so you'll need a small Allen key to remove it while fitting. There is also a mid point raised ring so fitting will need you to take the door handle off, but all fine when put back together

Check fit.
Seems a quality item, but not fit, had to return.

Good value for money
Nice specification for the price. Works well, but I needed to buy a small Allen key to fit it.

High quality well engineered lock with 5 keys
Over the years I've lost all the keys to my double glazed back patio door lock. Time to get a new one and this Kinetica replacement looks ideal. I measured the length of the original lock from one side to the other and ordered the 70mm version. The lock arrives with a generous 5 spare keys that all look smoothly cut and all working accurately. The lock itself is a solid heavy machined assembly. It's marked with the kitemark and various model and serial numbers. The mechanism is smooth, simple and consistent when testing the keys and the tun thumb button. The fitting is pretty straight forward and there is an included long machine screw that holds the lock in position. There is nothing that I can see to criticize about this package. From the buyer's point of view, it's important to know that this is the correct type of lock and that you order the right size. From a security aspect, this is a securely made lock that will resist most opportune breaking attempts other than brute force. The keys have a complex 6 roller pattern and the lock can be registered for a full guarantee.

Questionable longevity
Bought 2 of these in 2025, one in January one in June. The older of the two - on the main door to the house - has now started to stick when trying to unlock from the inside. I'd expect far better longevity from a 3* lock. Going to buy an Ironworx 3* to replace - we'll see if double the money is worth it! At least it won't have the annoying flange to work around when installing... 21Aug2025 - Ironworx replacement received, far easier to fit - as expected!
