Do you have to use special needles?

It is my understanding that you definitely need to use needles that say they are for Janome machines. The same goes for bobbins. Needles and bobbins are not standard.

How many needle positions?

The Janine TS200Q has three needle drop position, left, center and right. It can also be adjusted to default in needle up or default needle down when finishing sewing.

Will this model fit in universe sewing cabinet ?

Yes, it fits in a standard sewing cabinet! I’ve had a few sewing machines for quilting and I this one has been the best.
