I started taking these along with a folate supplement and have noticed a slight improvement in skin so far, but more importantly, I am seeing a bit less hair fall which is amazing. I’m taking other supplements as well so it’s probably the combination rather than this alone.

I have alopecia and read that zinc is often a deficiency that goes along with that, and that taking a zinc supplement may help with hair growth. Haven’t been taking it long enough yet to notice a difference, but even if it doesn’t help with that, I know it’s a good supplement that cannot hurt to take regardless. Love the price point for how many you receive. Comes in a glass bottle, which I also appreciate.

I picked up this zinc supplement a while back after noticing I was a bit low on it, after having a blood test at the doctors. I didn’t think much about zinc before, but I’d been having issues with my nails splitting, especially the thumbs, so I thought I’d give this a try. I went for this one because it uses the picolinate form. It is highly absorbed with minimal side effects. It’s been easy on my stomach, and I’ve had no problems taking it. I just take one a day and carry on with my routine. My diet is generally very good, and yet it seems I am not entirely absorbing the zinc I get from it. After using it for a while I started to notice my nails weren’t tearing as easily and felt a bit stronger. Both of my thumb nails would split if left growing. My hair also seemed a bit better according to my wife, no split ends, (she cuts my hair, so she notices these things more than I do). I’m nearly 66 now so maybe I just don’t absorb things as well as I used to, but this seems to have helped me personally. The tablets themselves are small, round and easy enough to swallow. No after taste and none of them were broken in the bottle. No chalky residue either. The darkened glass bottle is a nice touch, and the price is good too. A follow up blood test showed my zinc levels to be optimal. Overall, it’s been a positive experience for me and I’m happy with them. Recommended.
