Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I love food and cooking and have typically bought my oils at large grocery stores. I wasn't particularly satisfied or displeased. It just was. But after talking to a friend I decided to try purchasing online through Amazon and I'm glad I did. I chose Olive Pier because I've heard that Turkey is producing amazing, flavorful oils without the sticker shock you might find with some of the Italian olive oils. I was optimistically hopeful after placing the order, which can sometimes lead to disappointment, but I was wonderfully surprised! From the first taste, it was a transformational experience that opened my eyes to how a good olive oil can elevate a dish. I cook nearly every meal with it, but where it really shines is with bread or when making a pesto or salad dressing. When the oil is front and center. This oil tastes so fresh with a unique and pleasing flavor. I just finished my first bottle after 6 months with no degradation in quality. I'm back for more!

I really really really did not like this. I'm not a fan of olive oil in general, but I bought a bottle of the Baja Precious brand and LOVED it. I figured that surely this organic olive oil would be better than the non-organic, but boy was I wrong! I've tried many brands, but this was by far the worst. I would not recommend it at all.

Compared to other olive oils (brands given only for information purposes, Mantova, OlioCarli also in tinted glass bottles) this "first cold pressed" olive oil DOES NOT taste very much olive and it appears too light/thin.If it weren't for the label, you would certainly miss the olive taste in it.

I tried this appealing organic olive oil brand after reading all the literature about it. The bottle is OK (dark glass bottle), it's easy to open and pour but I wish that it would taste more olive. It tastes like a regular neutral oil for frying and has no fragrance at all. Too bad ! I love when olive oil has some "personality"and is a little bit spicy .....

I was rather surprised the quality of this oil, I had no idea it was this good. Perfect flavor for dipping. Not too peppery, not too nutty...just right. A great finish. It's on or close to the same level of quality as my raw oil that I had imported that is over $40 a bottle.I definitely recommend.

Love this olive oil! I've been trying out different organic olive oils, this is one I'll stick with. I use it in my salads, making bruschetta and general cooking. It's not heavy or dark, has a good flavor and is reasonably priced. I'm happy with the product and highly recommend it :)

Good but Lucini brand is better.
