It doesn’t just depend on your toilet, it depends on the path the waste water takes through the pipes in your home. There must be enough pressure or water to coney all the stuff. The major driver for these products is old tank toilets that use 5 or 7 gallons per flush. Those could, in most cases, easily afford to cut out .8 gallons and still perform as needed.
