Great Experience!
I’d like to state that I am a novice at waxing. I have a terrible reaction to shaving. No matter the blade, technique, or aftercare product, I seem to always end up with terrible razor bumps that hurt badly. With summer coming up, I decided I’ve had enough and want to feel confident showing my legs again. I did quite a bit of research regarding different products and how to wax properly. I watched lots of videos as well- some helpful and some scary. But I quickly learned the scary ones were truly human error or a lack of practice. I’m hoping that sharing my experience can help another beginner like me! Since I wasn’t sure how my skin would react to waxing, I didn’t want to spend a fortune. But I also wanted to do it right. This was a wonderful deal. The warmer is super cute (I got the pink one), and it’s small enough to fit on my bathroom shelf. It’s also not an eye sore and I don’t feel the need to hide it somewhere. Shipping was fast and everything was exactly as described. The manual was very helpful, although I do think it could have touched more on how to operate the actual warmer. However, it ended up not being an issue because it’s easy-peasy. After plugging in and pouring your wax beads, you simply turn the dial to the temp you’d like. 155-160 was perfect for me. The manual does address this, but you must remember that the warmer is going to reach its max temp in order to fully melt the wax (240 something- extremely hot!) The digital reader will rise and then fall back down to your set temp. There’s also a red/green light to let you know when it’s ready (it took about a total of 10-15 minutes.) Test a small amount on your inner wrist before diving into it. This will give you an idea of how it will feel and if the consistency is correct. I feel that it needs to be a bit thicker than honey… more like condensed milk. There is definitely a learning curve to this whole process. Holding horizontally and twisting the stick is your best friend. This helps to create a bulb at the end of the stick. I recommend also using an up and down motion as you twist, similar to a handshake, to separate any strings hanging onto the bulb. If there is any dripping, the wax is way too hot, but this should not happen if you keep it between 155-160. I started on my leg and the technique wasn’t hard to learn, but I was getting sad when I wasn’t picking up much hair. I took a break from that and tried my armpit. This is where I learned a lot. Because my armpits are more sensitive than my legs, and I was anxious about the pain, I peeled the wax much sooner than I was before. It ripped out every hair. And I mean ALL of it. And the pain was so minimal, it took me all of 2 minutes to finish both armpits. The directions say to peel after 30-45 seconds, but this was too long and was making the wax un-stick to my hair. I found more success in waiting about 10 seconds, and so the rest of the waxing was smooth sailing. I’m sure it can be different for people with other hair types and directions of growth, but I think patience and practice is key. I let my coarser hairs grow a bit longer than a grain of rice (which was an annoying 3 weeks, but it’s worth it!) My hairs grow at different speeds and thickness, so I can feel some of the small, finer hairs still. But I know waxing has to be done multiple times before it’s uniform and/or stops growing. You can always tweeze anything noticeable leftover. Overall, I am so satisfied and impressed with this purchase and couldn’t recommend it enough, especially for someone wanting to learn how. It's been 24 hours and normally I’d be covered in painful bumps, but my skin is silky smooth and clear! I love that they also sell Kotamu wax beads separately so that you can keep using the brand if you adore it like I did!

High quality beginner friendly wax warmer! Amazing price!
Bought this wax warmer after deciding I wanted to save a bit of extra money and wax myself. Seen some bad reviews and decided to look at other wax warmers but ultimately went with this one. Upon opening I was very impressed with the packaging and quality of the warmer. Came in this cute pinkish color and felt pretty high quality for 30$. Overall I was very impressed with how easy it was to use, The quality, Heat temperature, and hard wax bead quality. This is a very high quality warmer for 30$ and is a long term investment if you wanna save the 30-40$+ each time you get waxed anywhere else, price ultimately depends on where you’re getting waxed for me legs is standard 30-40$ where I live. However, I do recommend getting bigger bags of the wax beads, and different type beads for waxing different hair types. (ex. Brazilian wax would need beads for coarse thick hair) which was not included. Pink beads are for eyebrow hairs and any thin hair. The creamish white beads work for legs if that’s all you got but I recommend getting different bead types. If you have sensitive skin I recommend doing a small test on your arm or leg to make sure you have no kind of reaction. I do not have sensitive skin, my skin can typically handle mostly any kind of product as I have never reacted negatively to anything I’ve put on my skin so I went all in. (Note: Wax spatula seen in video NOT included bought separately) (Note: does NOT come with pre wax or after wax) 1. The first picture is everything you will get, 1pack two size sticks, 2 pack hard wax beads for fine/thin hair, 2 pack hard wax beads for thicker hair, Instructions + 5 year warranty, Wax warmer lid, silicone bowl and the warmer itself. 2. After setting it up which was extremely easy, just remove packaging wrapper and put the silicone bowl in the smaller metal bowl it comes with then plug in and turn the dial to your preferred heat. (I did Max heat 240 then turned down to 185-190 and kept within that range) Cord is somewhat small so make sure it’s on a flat surface. In my case, I needed a stool since it did not reach my sink. 3. The easiest way I found to clean it was letting the wax fully cool and turning the silicone bowl inside out and taking it off with my hands, then using a flushable wipe, baby wipe or any wet wipe to wipe off the rest clean. This left my legs feeling irresistibly smooth and soft. This was also my first time using a wax warmer and waxing myself. Extremely beginner friendly!

Great Wax warmer
The wax pot is great and easy to use. Love the silicone insert because it is so easy to change up the wax. The wax beads were hit or miss for me. The pink one and white waxes worked super well, but the blue wax for bikini did not seem as effective as I had hoped, it was super sticky and took forever to dry out, then didn't pull cleanly.

The temperature is displayed with perfect clarity.
A fantastic machine. What I like most is the temperature memory function and the fact that it keeps the wax at the perfect temperature throughout the hair removal process without overheating. The touch buttons are very responsive, and the inner pot is non-stick, making it incredibly easy to clean.

Great product, but I’m not sure waxing is for me.
If you want to give at-home waxing a try, this kit is a good way to go! Everything I needed was in the kit. The wax beads melted well, and the temperature control feature worked with no problems. I really like the silicone insert with the wide collar around it, because it’s harder to make a big mess. Some reviewers have complained about the smell of the melting wax beads, but I don’t think it’s a bad smell. When I purchased this kit at the start of July 2026, it was 49.99. That’s far less than most salons would charge for a single session where I live, if you’re waxing a larger area. My review is for this product, and I really think it’s a good deal on a quality product. However, as I said in the subject line, I’m not sure waxing is the best way for me to manage my hair issues at this stage in my life. If I hadn’t taken the plunge and tried this kit, I would never have learned that my Sasquatch genes cause my hair to grow back so quickly after waxing. I was hoping for maybe a month of smoothness. This is an issue with me, not the product. I am looking into other options, like IPL. But if I want to try waxing some areas again, I’ve got this nice little kit to fire up.

Wax warmer is perf. The wax not so much
I got the kit with the pre/post sprays, silicone spatulas/pot liner with the 4 different wax beads. I'll start off with the wax warmer, silicone spatulas and liner. The warmer heated up nicely, the spatulas are easy to clean once the wax completely dries. And I'm sure the silicone liner will be a breeze to clean as well. Absolutely love the wax warmer and reusable spatulas and liner. The pre and post wax sprays are ok. They are the 1st time of me ever using such products so hard to compare how well they work. They do have a strong "salon" smell to them. However the wax is meh. It sets way too fast like speed wax and breaks off small pieces/strips and is so sticky. I'm not a pro so not a fan of the quick setting wax. I feel like the bags were too small to even wax a half leg. I ended up using 2 bags to do just to do my legs below the knee and still didn't get some of the hair due to running out. The wax had set too quickly before being able to fully spread it to last. I thought maybe I needed to have the wax a little warmer than I had it at 185, so I slowly tested different temps for best spreadable outcomes. 197-205 was the best however just a little too hot for my skin and ended up with a couple spots scalded. Other than these issues with the wax, I feel like it did ok grabbing the hairs. I feel like it did grab and pull out a good amount from the roots but also some hairs broke off and with the roots still in.

Warmer and hard wax
I received and used this the same day! Once I figured out what was the best/right temperature this wax warmer was great! I liked it at 167 ish for my legs. I turned it all the way up melted my wax then turned it down and waited for my wax to cool down to the temperature I needed I had a lot of time. Once ready I had no issues had to turn it down when my wax got low obviously. But I didn't make a mess I think the people who did had their wax way too hot and runny would be my guess? But this product and the wax was great!

10/10 would recommend!
This kit works great! It is easy to operate. Actually waxing takes practice but the kit is great for beginners as it comes with wax and explains what they are for!

NOT FOR SAUDI CONSUMERS - Power Adapter and Voltage are only suitable for the US
Dear Kotamu and Amazon KSA, When you wish to sell an electric product, the voltage and adapter of said product should not be secondary in terms of priorities. I was waiting for the machine only to be faced by this: The power adapter is made for the US and same for the 120 voltage of the machine (not mentioned in the description too!) while Saudi Arabia outputs support 240 V. Diagraceful!

Stopped working after 20 minutes of use
I was really pleased with how this wax warmer was working, and the wax was great too. However sadly the machine turned itself off and stopped working only 20 minutes of first use. I don’t know whether mine is faulty or what happened, but any advice would be greatly appreciated..

good warmer, not so good beads
i love the wax warmer in this kit and the silicone insert that it comes with, makes for easy wax removal so you don’t have to spend time cleaning it out. on the other hand, the wax beads that come with this kit didn’t do too well for me. i would recommend buying the wax melter and different brand beads for best outcome!

Great purchase!
Works perfectly well. FYI, With one 100g packet of the wax beads I was able to wax my legs from foot to knee, underarms, upper lip and side burns. Does not bruise and effectively removes unwanted hair.

DO NOT BUY, CHEAP PRODUCTS
DO NOT BUY!!!!! I bought this as a gift for my sister after she had been begging me for months we got it and it was working great 3 months later it stopped working out of nowhere. Still turns on but doesn’t get hot enough to melt beads. The seller refuses to contact me back after multiple attempts of reaching out. The seller page it says return or exchange 100% guaranteed if you are not happy with the purchase but they don’t want to return or exchange your product! They will give you the run around and won’t replace the damaged items, these are cheaply made and not meant to last BEST ADVICE: DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!
