Great base for giant umbrella
We bought this with our 13ft umbrella and it works amazing. Never even looked like it was gonna blow over. My kids even pulled and moved the rods around and it’s still very sturdy.

Good Base + Alternate Assembly Hack
I think the rest of the reviews have covered the quality and sturdiness of the item. As you can probably tell from the photos, the base is very big. It takes up a lot of space on my patio, but it definitely works. Size-wise, it fits perfectly with my Bluu Cantilever umbrella stand. On to the hack.... Someone was kind enough to post a review on how to fill the base with sand quickly called "Read this Assemby Cheat", to simplify what otherwise could be a very tedious process. Using their terrific idea as a baseline, I modified it somewhat and it worked very well for me. I took a 2-liter bottle as recommended and cut it in half to work as funnel into the base. With a little bit of effort, the spout of the 2-liter bottle fits perfectly into the filling base. However, instead of using the sand you find outdoors in your local big box retailer, which gets moist over time, get the sandbox sand they sell indoors (usually in the /concrete masonry section of the store). It is very fine sand (much finer than paver sand) and is completely dry. Four 50 lb bags should do it and it was less than $20 total for me. With the finer, dry sand, you can funnel it directly into each base without any water or clogging. This obviates the need for two funnels or using a hose to keep the sand flowing into the base. Just pour the sand directly into the funnel and it goes right into the base. When you've filled up each compartment with sand, you can then add water to finish it up. Since I did the filling by myself and the sand bags are unwieldy to start due to weight, when opening each new sand bag, I poured the first batch of sand into a bucket with a pouring spout. I then simply poured the sand from the bucket into the 2-liter bottle funnel. Once the sandbag was a little lighter, I could pour the sand directly from the bag into funnel. It worked great for me, so I hope it does for others as well.

Plenty of stability, thinner profile than other bases
Overall pleased with this product. We paired this base system with a 10' mastercanopy cantilever umbrella purchased on Amazon. The base is attractive and matches some of our other patio furniture with a thatch design. Once assembled the base is about 40" square, so keep that in mind when picking a location. With the completed set loaded with your weighting materials it's not going to be easy to move. I chose to fill each of the "plates" with play sand. I bought four 50 lb bags of sand from my local big box hardware store for around $30. I chose sand over water because it weighs more and the recomendations I found online for what a good weight would be for this style of umbrella ranged from 175 to 200 lbs. I had about 10 lbs of sand left after filling, so each plate has about 47 lbs of sand in it. For filling I had some old funnels and I propped these up diagonally with the spout directly vertical. It took me about an hour to fill all four plates and I agitated the plate towards the end of filling to make sure they were filled to the top. Even filled with sand the material of construction is solid and does not deform when loaded, which I saw as a positive. I had looked at other designs, but they were much larger than this system for the same weight. The lower profile of these allows easy operation of the rotation function on my umbrella. Once assembled, this system provides a very sturdy and solid base, even when the wind is blowing at a good clip. Overall, solid construction, plenty of weight when filled with sand and provides a solid base in a stiff wind. Should you choose sand, you'll need to factor in this cost in your overall purchase price.

Stand for Oversized Umbrellas
This is a great base for our umbrella; however, the first set they sent us was all cracked. The set was replaced immediately with no issues. I’m giving it 4 stars because filling it with sand was time consuming and not an easy task. It took us several hours to do so. So far, it is holding strong and our umbrella has stayed in place.

Perfect for the 10' Umbrella we bought
This was recommended for our 10' cantilevered umbrella. I put a full bag 45 lbs of sand in each one and they were not 100% full. Guarantee the umbrella is not going anywhere. I saw people having issues with the pins that tie them together. They seem to be 1/4" too short. This is not the case! Push the panel in as far as it will go. Put the pin in one side, it will be short of the other side. Then, lift up the far side opposite the one that is in the hole already. This will tilt the panel in and the pin will fall in the hole. When you put it down it holds well. They are heavy, and if you notice there is a place to grab one side, that is the side to left. Kneel in front of the 2 panels in front of where the clip goes. Put the pin in on the left side, the place to grip and lift would be on the right. When you lift it just a little it tilts and the pin should fall right in; I hope this explains it well enough as they are a very nice product when installed.

Better looking than sand bags but dont seem as stable
The price for these seems about right compared to the other brands. My problem with these so far (and this might be just the design of the product coupled with the design of the umbrella bases that uses these types of base weights) is that the curved edges of the umbrella base legs and the curved edges of these weights do not really have good solid overlap. The edge of the weights and the edge of the umbrella base legs have MAYBE a 1/8th inch overlap. Meaning, these weights work by sitting on the flared edges of the umbrella base legs. However, there are no straight/square edges to get a good solid overlap of the weights over the base legs which allows for the base to move about a little bit which translates into a slight wobble of the entire umbrella. These should be design to sit entirely over and on top of the umbrella base legs - that would insure real/proper base support (and allow no movement.) The idea is a good one - just not executed well.

🔥🔥READ THIS ASSEMBLY CHEAT🔥🔥
5 stars for quality and sturdiness. Purchased for my “Flame & Shade” 10’ cantilever umbrella to create shade in my pool’s sun ledge. PROPER ASSEMBLY (SAND) IS A PROJECT. Definitely use sand instead of water for more weight and stability. With sand each finished piece weighs roughly 60 lbs. It ain’t moving- and no leaks even with water added to the mix. BUT, while finishing the first base taking 45 minutes of scooping and sifting handfuls of sand into a funnel to avoid clumping I FOUND A CHEAT. Use a LARGE- biggest you got- funnel like those used for oil, then cut a 2 liter bottle in half so that it too makes a funnel. Place the spout of the 2L into the umbrella base (it fits perfectly) then place the large funnel in/ atop the 2L so that it’s a double funnel setup. Fill the large funnel with sand (it will overload the funnel and not flow) align the funnel opening to the 2L spout and then slowly add water into the funnel until it makes a slush-like consistency. It flows right into the base with absolute ease! I had my 13 yo daughter manage the hose while I kept adding sand. Shortened the entire process down to 5 minutes for each base. Each base takes about one half cubic foot of sand (a typical bag of sand found at Lowe’s/ Home Depot) so you will need 4 bags of sand. Definitely use fine sand and not coarse paver sand. You’ll understand why if you don’t (it clumps). The fine sand is much easier to flow through the funnel. My 13 yo said “could you imagine if we hadn’t figured that out- we woulda been out here all night!” The aluminum bars that lock the 4 bases aligned with zero effort on the first try. Took a risk and purchased in spite of the few negative reviews here, but glad I did. Absolutely 5 stars with proper setup.
