Standing alongside the road it was showered in salt and ice removal chemicals, hit by vehicles a couple of times, and roughed up by hooligans. Eventually the original powder coating started to fail but the mailbox itself was still sound. For appearance sake only I replaced the mailbox and was happy to see the same build quality.
