I do cross stitch and this magnifier provides the extra magnification I sometimes need to see when I'm doing 22 or 18 count stitching. The daylight colour mode is perfect for viewing the actual colour of floss. I did have a problem with the battery cover falling off. This was easily solved by wrapping an elastic around the handle.
