You probably won't be able to close the door with this item in place but that shouldn't be a problem. You could also attach it to a table or any other sturdy stanchion or piece of furniture for even more versatility in your exercise regimen. I can think of several other uses including any time you need a firm third hand. I've already used it as a handy place to hang a few pieces of clothing to keep them from getting wrinkled. This clamp even stays in place on the side of the door which is great if you're short and don't want to climb up on a step stool or ladder or if you move it often. The hardware is VERY robust. The "hook" portion can be completely closed if necessary by unscrewing the large nut so it comes into direct contact with the back plate. My highest recommendation.

Heavy duty but a little thick so hard to close doors

Great product at a great price, working much better than I expected, am super happy with this product and it fits over my door perfectly , also makes a great place to hang certain heavy stuff, when I’m not using it for workout bands!

Clever and very good product! I tried different solutions for my trx, bolt anchor to a brick wall, the soft sponge to hang over doors, but this tool is the best solution, very sturdy, I can travel with it and easy to set up.
