I have had several car chargers over the years. I have paid a lot more for chargers that don’t do as well of a job or stop working. I have had this one for a long time now and it still works great. It charges consistently, holds securely, moves smoothly and automatically. No complaints whatsoever. I use it in my patrol vehicle during 12 hour law enforcement shifts.

Works great, holds my iPhone 17 Pro max very securely and charges wirelessly through my case. Instructions recommend using a QC 3.0 USB charger source; but it worked fine when I simply plugged it into my Honda Pilot USB port. It's also easy to insert and release the phone simply by pushing a button and it attached to my AC vent very securely with the depth adjustable hook: Highly recommended.

I needed a solution for our Mazda. If you have one, you know there aren't many good places to mount a phone without blocking access or the view of something else. One of the ideal spots is in fact right in front of the vent. I've tried vent clips before and had mixed results, mostly med or poor. But I saw the mechanism with this vent clip where you place it first, then tighten slowly until everything tightens up. The mount clip spans 3 vent slats, and the cushion / pad tightens down nicely and firmly. In the Mazda, the convenience 12v outlet is low on the passenger side, which makes it a little out of the way to go fishing for the cable each time you get in the car. With this wireless mount, no longer an issue. connected the wire and tucked it in a bit, out of the way and that's it. As far as the charging mount itself, well, I picked it for it's low profile design, and clean lines, and it doesn't disappoint. Looks great, quite stable, rotates to landscape and back as needed, no problem. The mechanism itself does it's job. I've had automatic clamping mounts before, and thought they were a little slow. Not this one, this closes almost instantly, and releases when you push the button. You can push the button on either side. Once you get used to the button's location, pressing it just becomes part of your natural motion to grab the phone. I was also worried about how difficult it would be to remove the phone after turning off the car (no power). This would have been a deal breaker for me, but thankfully not an issue- the mechanism retains some power and operates normally even when the car is off. Must be a battery in there. I don't know for how long or how many times it will open and close without being plugged in, but I did it 4 times, which is 3 more than I've needed since. Finally, I used the included USB-c cable to connect the mount, and I get Fast Wireless Charging each time I place my Samsung S23, with its fairly sturdy (2mm thick) case, in the mount. So- after about two weeks of daily use- I realized I love this charging mount, so much so that I decided to take some pics and write a review. Highly recommend.

FITS ON A 2024 PRIUS (tip to install below)!! Felt this needed to be said, the vents are fairly different compared to other cars *This review is centered around the experience on a 2024 Toyota Prius, and the rating is given according to its compatibility with my specific vehicle. I can't guarantee your success with this if your car doesn't have a cigarette lighter plug (aux power outlet). You can try one of the USB ports but there is no guarantee in the manual and I didn't set mine up that way either* Off-rip, this is more of a 3.5/5, but can be rounded up. PROS - On smaller vents, this hooks extremely well. INSTALL TIP: For a Prius, angle the vent you're using all the way down and then latch. It is a tight fit since the hook doesn't extend very far, but it will stay in place once latched - Easily keeps its position when holding my S21, which means it will most likely hold slightly heavier phones with ease as well CONS - With an S21, this will cover a chunk of the bottom right of the Prius infotainment system. Not a big deal but slightly inconvenient. It's also somewhat in the way of a few console buttons and the push-to-start - Wireless charging works, just slowly. If you need your phone charged faster, I would recommend using your own cord. Thankfully, the holder leaves an opening at the bottom if you wish to use your own - Doesn't seem to stay in the "open" position unless the car is running. Kind of an inconvenience that I have to first turn on the car and then mount my phone, as opposed to just throwing it onto the mount as soon as I'm inside - Requires a power source. It wasn't exactly made clear that the only way to fasten and release the phone is to use the buttons on the side, but I got lucky that this didn't create an issue for me.

This is amazingly good. The clip that holds it to the grill is a simple hook that tightens and locks simply. It positions well with a ball joint that also locks in place. When powered, the buttons open and close to lock the phone in solidly. The inductive charging works well. In short, everything works simply and well. I haven't had it long enough to address durability, but it doesn't have any obvious shortcomings at all. For $20 it's amazing.

Easy to use. Just plug, adjust, & charge your phone in a quick second. It does take longer to fully charge your phone than if connected to the house plug (3hrs vs 1.5 hrs). It warms up the phone a little while it's charging. It keeps the phone from falling or getting misplaced while in the vehicle. The charger blends in with the car so it's not a distraction & so far hasn't blinded me. Great product, I can always unplug if I don't want to charge my phone.

2nd one I buy. Other still works. Has a feature that the motor to open/close works a few times without power. Must use a capacitor to hold small charge. First one I bought, this feature no longer works but still charges well and closes when senses phone charging. Also works well to charge on airplane since it holds phone to the charger.

Great cell phone holder to fit in a/c vent! Charges fast! Great price and easy to install!
