I have naturally wavy thick hair and the summer humidity in the South is making my hair crazy frizzy. I have been living in braids because I can’t really wear my hair down without it being cartoonishly big. I’ve been told by the hair dresser to do a Brazilian Blow Out but really couldn’t stomach spending $350 + tip for a single treatment that is temporary. I came across this at-home version and decided to try it. First off, the instructions on the bottle are small so I referred to the Amazon listing to figure out how to do the treatment. IMPORTANT: make sure you have a blow dryer and a hair straightening iron. I set aside 4 hours to do this treatment from start to finish and probably needed more time to really iron it out in the ideal manner. I was very happy that the amount of product in the small bottle covered all of my chest-length hair. I waited the higher of the range of recommended time before washing the product out. When finished, my hair was shiny, frizz-free and super straight. I was happy to wear my hair down and not have to style it (only brush) for the next 3 days because it was so gorgeous! After 3 days I needed to wash my hair, and after air drying, a tiny hint of my normal hair texture started to peak through (no longer perfectly straight) but my hair was still very shiny and frizz free. 2 days later I washed my hair again after swimming in a salt water pool and was very happy to see my hair was still shiny and frizz free (after air drying), BUT my hair now has more areas that are getting wavy again. If this was the $350 salon results I would be sad, but given the price point of this at-home treatment, it’s 100% worth it. I contacted Prohall and for advice on when I can redo the treatment (I plan to spend more time diligently ironing) and the gentleman responded immediately and gave me clear guidance—amazing customer service. I recommend this product to anyone looking to improve shine and reduce frizz for a very reasonable price.

I used this on my short hair that has grown in after chemo. My hair was growing in kind of kinky curly, and my hair was crazy. It Worked great, easy to use, and I am able to go out in public without a wig now :) I don’t wash my hair every day, but this kept my hair straight and smooth even after it rained. No frizz. Results gradually wear off, but for the price you can’t beat it. HOWEVER: this will change the color of your hair. I’ve had keratins done before, Brazilian, blowout, etc., and they usually do lighten hair a few shades. This one lifted my hair, several shades, to a more orange color. I am a natural redhead, so it’s not a huge deal, but, it is quite noticeable. If you don’t mind that, it really does work and saves hundreds of dollars. Note; use in a well ventilated area- there ARE fumes, although they’re not nearly as bad as the salon.

It was the best in home product I ever used . Simple to apply, no formaldehyde and works!!! The only drawback is it did change the color of my hair, quite a bit lighter so don’t use it if you just had color right done at the salon.

This product DESTROYED my hair. I’m so upset. I HAD rib length darker hair. I live in an area where humidity is high and I’m outside a lot. Based on the reviews I purchased this to try to smooth it a bit and hopefully make it manageable… I’ve never regretted anything more. This item ruined my hair… I can’t even brush it and I have to cut it ALL OFF just to salvage it. I cannot believe this is happening and am warning anyone with longer hair to STEER CLEAR.
