Hot stuff! I like it!
Good deal on a good product! Glad I found this reasonably priced heat gun for drying watercolor pictures. I didn't spend an arm and a leg on a dryer that is used more intermittently than consistently. Gives off a good stream of warm to hot air, comes with an attachment for other uses too. Just remember that end gets HOT and be careful around other materials, use the stand that is attached and let it cool before touching. It's very easy to use and seems like a good durable item. It's not too noisy, no worse than the hair dryer I was using. It's a hot air blower so yup it'll give off some noise and heat. Be careful people, don't give to kids! Good purchase overall for my needs.

Ideal for heat shrink solder connectors
With its included deflector, it works perfectly on heat shrink solder connectors. So much faster and EASIER than using a butane lighter. And far less likely to cause collateral damage.I recently finished installing a head unit in a vehicle. Initially i used my larger Harbor Freight heat gun, which is good for certain projects, but lacks finesse for wiring projects, especially where multiple wires are involved, or in crowded areas. I switched to a butane torch for a few connections, before deciding to purchase this heat gun, which arrived prior to my finishing the project.Hands down, it's the best tool i've used for heat shrink solder connectors. This gun, almost the moment i turned it on, produced sufficient heat to shrink the tubing and melt the solder. I was surprised by how quickly it worked; i had expected more of a lag, based on my experience with my larger heat gun, which requires more time to heat up. I had used its high setting, although the lower setting may have been sufficient (don't know as of the time of this writing). With the deflector, the heat is pretty well distributed all the way around the tubing, not really requiring rolling the wire to ensure uniform heating, which is good because i often don't have a sufficient number of hands to do that. This gun does have an integrated wire stand, so in certain situations can act as a third hand. The smaller size of this gun, with its commensurate reduced airflow, means it can be used in more confined spaces without nearly as much collateral damage of larger guns. It's a matter of choosing/having the correct tool for the task. Larger guns have their place and purposes. Given the relatively low cost of this compact heat gun, it was worth it to me to add it to my toolkit. Likely, i will use this gun more often than my larger gun, now that i have it.A feature missing from this heat gun (and all i've ever used, but have found on some hair driers) is a cooldown mode. Not only would it help to extend the life of the product, it would also be an important safety feature for a product like this. All which would be required is a switch setting to run the fan without heat. So i do have concerns about longevity of this product. (Running it on low for several seconds can help cool it somewhat from the high setting.)An active cooldown mode would allow the gun to be put away more quickly too, without the need of long passive cooldown times. I would deduct a star or two for the lack of this safety feature, if i was aware of any other heat gun having a cooldown mode. It really ought to be a standard feature for heat guns.

Handy compact heat gun, heats up fast
Great little heat gun for the price. The 2-temp settings cover most use cases I throw at it — heat shrink tubing, loosening adhesives, shrink wrap packaging. Compact and lightweight so it's easy to maneuver. Heats up quickly and the 380W is adequate for the tasks I use it for. Good buy for occasional use.

Get it While It's Hot
This is a great tool for crafting. Having two heat settings is a nice option, so it can be used for multiple projects. I mainly use it for resin projects, so I haven't used the reflector nozzle, but it's nice to have. The cord is long enough that you can set it away from the project when not in use or cooling down.

Used for candles
It came already used. You can tell by the tip being brown already, which in the manual it says that’s normal from using it. Other than that, it works pretty good. Gets hot quick, and doesn’t blow an insane amount of air so it didn’t blow wax out of the container that bad. Super easy to use. Can’t complain for the price.

Great Way To Blow Some Hot Air!
A very nice compact unit with plenty of power. Since receiving the item I have used it a couple of times on heat shrink tubing on electrical wires. The heat gun had plenty of heat to accomplish my task. The unit is a very nice size to work with. It does not take up much space on a work bench and it cooled down quickly enough that I could store it away soon after my task was completed. I have only needed to use the lower of the two heat settings thus far. The heat gun is not very noisy, in fact it could be used at any time of the day or night without disturbing anyone within earshot! Great value and very glad I purchased this item.

Use the size tool that is made for the job.
I find this to be a fine little heat gun for heat shrink terminals. I have been trying for years to shrink with a full size heat gun, and yes it works, but this little gun with the deflector works faster and better.

Heat
The heat gun is small, but it does the job snd at a lower pricr.
