Had it for almost 2 years now still works fine, it's not an actual 1500 watts, that must be a mathematical equivalent with the bass boost turned up and the input level switch turned to under 2 volt running 2 ohm. Great controls for low priced amp on panel, good working built-in crossover, remote gain, it'd beats so good for an amp under a hundred dollars, people think I got 500 to $800 in the boom, nope about 200 ! I got it on two Jensen 12s that came from Walshart damn good speakers can't be beat for only 35$ each, it works with my 10-year-old pioneer head unit good and the amp hardly draws over 20 amps on the power. I have an 02 Nissan Xterra with only a little 80 amp alternator got a big zero gauge wire feeding it doesn't even try to dim the lights or interfere if anything else on the vehicle, the Jensen's at first did have some bad mid-riange resonation, despite crossover turned all the way to lowest HZ, I took care of it with polyfill my sealed box is not separated, it's a $20 used MTX Terminator box, even sitting with the vehicle off in the summer I could barely feel the amp get warm, only problem is I struck my positive screw is not real high quality metal on the threading, so I rethreaded it with a tap and used a fatter screw ! Well enough to get attention but not so overpowering til it's annoying. So if you ever wanted you some bass and some boom boom in your ride but are the kind of person you would not fork out hundreds or thousands of dollars especially on something you may not be totally sure of, this is your AMP ! I TAKE PRIDE IN IT THAT I CANNOT POSSIBLY FIND A BETTER AMP FOR ABOUT 90 BUCKS !!! It will also run up to 18 volts off of a farad ! Although it's a class AB amp it is easy on the battery also. Thanks for producing such an amazing product for such a low price planet audio you rock or I mean you boom boom ! 🤗

I'm giving this I am a five-star because it is truly powerful and easy to install the only thing that has happened to me, which is my fault, is hooking up 2 1800 watt subwoofers totaling 3600 watts. They blew out because we didnt have the adjustments right. But the good thing is I was able to call tech support and he recommended that I get to DB 12 subwoofers that are 2500 watts each that way they can handle the power of the amp. Right now I put my old speakers in their only 1400 watts of peace and I have the amp turn find out all the way down just above the minimum. and the speakers are still hitting with that amp. I'm going to end up putting some 3000 watt subwoofers that way I can get maximum performance because right now if you don't come all the way right you'll mess something up because this amp is powerful for real LOL.

This amp was first selling for almost 300 hundred dollars. Now it sells for around 120.00. This amp is huge in dollar for watt/Quality value. I hoocked it up to two 10's, one a Planet audio, Other a sony xplod. I have the amp turned up not even half ways as im afraid to blow the speakers!! yes it's powerfull. I am not a sound tech guy but when you hook an amp up and it is giving crisp clean sound, I am a happy camper. The adjustment's are plenty and will give you the sound your looking for i feel. Make sure you pair this amp with decent Radio/deck to make sure you have overall good sound to go with the great bass :) Now i dont think this amp is putting out 4000 watts but im sure it is at least giving 1500 and that is super awesome for a hundred dollars in my book. 120 x 10 equals 1200 so 120 total fuze rating 40/40/40 x 10 1200 so around what i am thinking in real raw power. Oh and this thing is a beast with power as my headlights are dimming when i listen to a rap song lol! So i need one of those things to fix that issue lol

I've got 2 planet audio 5000 watt amps strapped powering a 15 inch l7 kicker solberic with a 20 fared capacitor but seems like it could take more power, so order a sound stream epicenter and trying a newer deck and extra battery all for my 97 Lexus ls 400 also think I need to have an opening to my truck since that model has the fuel tank in the trunk and is pretty much sealed. Took out factory sub in back window and cut out some extra sheet metal behind the rear seats sounds better cant wait for the epicenter though

If your reading this then your looking at some kind of planet audio product and after reading this you never will. I got suckered by the lure of high watt output without costing a lot. I bought the 1500 watt torque series amp and the amazon page claims to put out 1125 watts RMS @ 2 ohm. Sounds like a great buy for $70 right? Only problem is this amp only puts out around 150 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. That's 1/10th of the advertised claim! Planet Audio falsely advertises every single product they make. If you look into their manuals for their amps and do basic math you will see that all their RMS wattage claims are 100% impossible based on the fuse/fuses they have in their amps as well as the recommended gauge wires for installation of their products. If their amps produced the advertised power, the amount of current needed to produce said wattage wouldn't be able to pass through the power and ground wires cause they would be too small. Even if you used the proper gauge wires to handle the advertised watts the fuse/fuses in the end of the amp would explode before it even got half way to what they claim their amplifiers can produce. That being said don't buy Boss Audio either cause they have the same business model as Planet Audio. Buy an amplifier from a manufacturer that doesn't lie to their customers and trick them into buying mislabeled toys. Research videos showing a companies amplifier being tested on a Dyno to see if the company is honest. Remember you get what you pay for and sometimes paying a little more saves you not only time and frustration but money as well. Update: dug this amp out the closet and hooked it up in my wife's vehicle. Used an oscilloscope till it clipped the signal, back gain off until clean sine wave. Measure the voltage with multimeter and crunched the numbers. This amp produces 275 watts RMS clean unclipped signal. More than I originally thought but still nowhere near as advertised.

I have no idea how these companies claim absurd values like 1500 watts (would pull over 100 amperes from battery and wear out alternator very quickly) however hooked up to a 12" sealed at 2 ohm load... it does giver. The amp has a 30 amp fuse so it's max output is (30amps x14.4V) 432 watts at 100% efficiency. So more likely about 350 watts after losses. It's plenty enough to punch deafening decibels with a decent sub. Features are great, everything a mono block amp needs and sounds clean; the included volume control really adds user ability to tailor the tunes.. and mood. No regrets.
