I knew when ordering it about how big it would be because I read the description and other customer reviews. That being said, when I told some of my friends that I had purchased a backyard Jenga they had envisioned it bigger (even though I told them it wasnt going to be as big as the pictures they see on pinterest). Hahaha it is still pretty big in comparison to the original size game. Just keep in mind that this backyard Jenga is travel size so it is NOT going to be the height of a person. Also, I painted the ends to mine to go with the color theme of our party. I did not paint the whole blocks because I was worried they wouldn't slide right if I painted the whole thingUPDATE: I now use this in my classroom during the occasional free time and I have used it as an interactive study game by assigning questions/tasks to each color that I painted on the edges. My students love the game. A bit of a fluke I guess. A bit of glue, a couple of vice clamps and 5 minutes later: back as good as new. Despite this, the enjoyment all my friends and I (ranging from 40-something-year-olds to all or kids) got out of the kit was enough to overcome this issue.
