Works the same as an official Arduino Nano but cheaper
I used this board for a project that was written for the original/official Arduino Nano board. This Electromax board works identically as far as I can tell and is far less expensive so it feels like less of a risk if I mess up the soldering. You need to make sure you select the correct bootloader in the Arduino IDE, but that's the case for using any board that might have gone through multiple revisions - you won't break anything if you have the wrong one selected, it'll just fail to flash your code. Because this board is based on an older revision, it uses a mini-USB port (rather than micro-USB or USB-C). That's inconvenient if you already got rid of your old cables, but a secret delight if you've been hanging on to a box of old cables that 'will be useful someday'.

Fantastic, affordable option (just select the old bootloader in the Arduino IDE!)
This unofficial Arduino Nano works perfectly for a fraction of the price of a genuine board. The board feels solidly constructed and has been working reliably for me so far. I usually use genuine boards for larger projects, but had a smaller prototype project to work on so I picked this for the cost savings, but this board has so far proven itself to work just as well as the genuine ones. I'm very impressed. As others have mentioned, you just need to set the bootloader to the old one in the Arduino IDE. Once you've selected Arduino Nano as your board type, just go into Tools -> Processor and select "AtMega328P (Old Bootloader)" as the processor. Works flawlessly after that!

Requires old bootloader
Seems to work perfectly fine, just needs to be flashed with old bootloader.

Great value
This Nano clone was very inexpensive, but seems to work fine. I did have a minor issue that caused a bit of confusion because unlike other reviewers my board didn’t want to connect under the Old Bootloader, but did with the new version. Maybe the board has been updated or there are two versions?

Dead on arrival
Dead on arrivalUnfortunately this board was dead on arrival and wouldn’t power up or be recognised when connected. I tried different cables and ports just in case, but had no luck getting it to work at all.Because of that I ended up returning it for a refund. It may just have been a faulty unit, but based on this experience I couldn’t use it as intended.

Works with these tweaks
To get this to work well, please install the latest arduino nano driver, when compiling and uploading choose nano as the type and old type bootloader. Once this has been done it works just like a real one

Ideal for programming escs
Used this for connecting my bl heli escs and it worked perfectly

Compatible with Arduino IDE, as long as you select the OLD boot-loader
I couldn’t upload a sketch to this board using the official Arduino IDE until I tried uploading using the OLD boot-loader option. Once this was selected, I could find no operational or functional difference between this board and my genuine Arduino Nano [A000005] board.Sketches upload to the genuine [A000005] board by selecting the new boot-loader.Given (at time of writing) the genuine Arduino manufactured [A000005] boards are £28 and this one was £6, you pays yer money and makes yer choice!
