The Fascinating Bug Book for Kids

My grandson is really into bugs. I mean, REALLY into bugs. This book has over 500 facts that really are fascinating and the perfect amount of detail for an 8 year old. Gorgeous photos. He's been carrying his book around with him like a favorite toy, rattling off fun facts for as long as anyone is willing to listen. I've learned so much! If your kid's special interest is insects, this book makes a perfect gift.

One of the best books this month so far. Colorful pictures! True to the real insects or bugs. Great learning facts. Boy, I even learned things that I never knew about bugs/insects. Ms. Krystal did an excellent job. I would recommend this book for all ages!!!

Hope the grand kids are gonna like it.They're really into grasshoppers right now.They send me pictures with grasshoppers on their hand I like the pictures in this book and I like that the information they have next to pictures.As nice and short cause, everybody knows.Kids have shorter attention spans cause of YouTube and all that stuff. So I really think they don't like this book my fingers cross

Great book

Ordered for grandson. He loves it. Great photos with just enough text to keep him interested. It has helped his reading with the easy layout. After this one was a hit I sent one a month until he had the set. He keeps them beside his bed so know he is looking at them.

There are seriously so many facts in here—500 is a lot! It covers everything from beetles to butterflies, and even I found myself saying "I didn't know that" while reading along with my son. The facts are definitely "startling" and fun, and the pictures are bright and engaging enough to keep a kid's attention. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can be a bit overwhelming. Because it’s just a massive list of facts, it doesn’t really have a "story" or a flow to it, so my daughter tended to flip through it in chunks rather than reading it straight through. It’s almost more like an encyclopedia than a traditional book, which is great for quick trivia but might be a lot for a younger reader to digest all at once. Overall, it’s a fantastic resource for any little entomologist in training. It’s sturdy, well-organized by bug types, and a great way to spark a curiosity about nature. Just be prepared for your kids to follow you around the house reciting bug trivia for the next three weeks!

I purchased this book for a friend’s grandson who is a 6 year old bug aficionado….. He was overjoyed! At first sitting, as he flipped through the pages, he would shout out the names of certain bugs and tell us all about them. I don’t think anyone could be disappointed in this book.
