UPDATE to: An EXCELLENT value that WORKS!
I was in need of new pot holders as the others have become useless. Let me explain the "useless" first. I had 2 types: the pad and the glove. With the pad, there was one side covered in fabric. The fabric side became stained even after washing on "gentle". And the supposed insulated side never really insulated. As for replacement, my choices were pads with a hand "pocket" for holding the hot item OR I was subjected to those cute-sie woot-sie chickens imprinted on the pocket side ( I don't understand why chickens denote a kitchen!) As for the glove, only found one that fit my hands. The others I tried were too small. And neither the pads (with the chicken glove thingie) or gloves gave me any confidence is picking up hot items from the oven. With these, I noted, FIRST TIME USING,...yes they insulate. AND , insulated on both sides. Second, I suspect they will withstand staining about average or better( we will find out shortly). And FINALLY,..... NO CHICKENS!! imprinted...just plain, but attractive silver color. Now I don't oven roast a 90 lb chunk of beef or use flimsy baking containers that almost guarantee you will get burned. I have decent roasting pans and sheets that I don't overload but do get very hot. Yes, I found these pads to work perfectly. But it comes down to personal choice of pads (with glove) or insulated gloves. What I found that these pads do exactly what I want and at a price that is very affordable. Yes I do recommend as a BUY.UPDATE:I'll make this simple. They work extremely well, are easily washed, and the price is definitely RIGHT ON! My first order was for pkg of 10. I gave away size (2 here...2 there...) and just received my SECOND order of 10. Very simply, they do the job you need to have done....and that is protect your hands from hot pans an dishes. HIGHLY recommended and I did BUY again!

Excellent protection
Really withstand the heat. Hard to find potholders that can withstand heat up to 450 degrees. These work wonderfully and are very well priced. They are flexible as well. I wasn't sure that I would like the color, but they were the only ones that claimed 450 degree protection. Now I love the color, look nice hanging out with other kitchen items Food does not seem to stick or stain as easily either..Cannot go wrong with these.

great pot holders
I ordered and returned several more expensive, fancier pot holders because they were clumsy and didn't work. these are fantastic. They are exactly what I wanted. They don't transfer heat when you are handling pots on top of the stove or casseroles in the over. I've used them to retrieve a pan from under the broiler without problem. they are soft and flexible, and inexpensive. I highly recommend them

for the price, I don't care how stained up they get!
I love that these are not made of terry cloth. The terry cloth ones seem to find EVERY speck of dirt, dust and hair and it gets stuck into the fibers. I finally threw all of mine away and looked all over for non terry ones. These certainly fit the bill! And the ten count allows for me to wash and swap out as needed. I've not had a single issue of them overheating while taking out the items from my oven. However, if folks did have an issue with this, it might be because the pot holder was damp or wet? I'm not sure, but I've not had any issues my hands stay heat free with them - and their size is lovely.

No Silicone and Slippery
Look, when you put silicone in the description, I expect there to be a silicone coating on it. No silicone at all.The silvery fabric is kind of slippery. At least with a standard cotton oven pad I can grab onto something without it sliding.I know they're new, but they don't fold very well either, so it even makes it harder to grab a hot pan from the oven.

I gave away 6 of the 10..
..and everyone likes them and is still using them after almost 3 years. The picture shows mine in modest use for those 3 years next to a new one. I'm not pitching the old ones yet, I have two in service, but they are in need of a wash. I'm happy to have the two fresh ones for when the time comes.

Doesn't protect for hot overn
Why you would have to review for warmth or stretch is beyond me. Bought because of some reviews. Good for toaster oven where you take and then put down quickly. Not that great on oven over 300 degrees.

Large enough to protect hands
I've grown tired of cute cloth pot holders that don't protect my hands, and of ones that are too small to use to grip a heavy pan like a cast iron skillet. These solved both problems! The 10-pack gave me enough to share with friends, who are also delighted with them. I expect them to be easy to clean. Great value for the money.
