Love the fact that this safety chain is very fine, appears to be well made, and barely visible when wearing the bracelet. However, the opening on the spring ring is very tiny, so if you're attaching it to a bracelet with thick links, you may need to add an extra link to get this to work. I got the 2" size so the bracelet fits over my (large) hand without have to unclasp this chain when taking the bracelet off or on. Perfect! Exactly what I wanted!

This is single handedly the single greatest purchase I have ever made on Amazon. I got the most beautiful Tiffany bracelet from my boo for our anniversary and in one weekend the darn thing fell off 3 times! Luckily I found it each time, but after that weekend I was too scared to wear it. So I googled "bracelet keeps falling off" and this popped up. For $10 it saved a very pricey bracelet and my relationship! Now I wear my bracelet to every street fest, concert and party without fear of it ever falling off. I am beyond beyond happy. It is real sterling silver as I am allergic to cheap metal and I have been wearing this for months. Seriously could not be happier. I feel bad for all the girls that lost their jewelry from loved ones. $10 is the best insurance policy you can buy!

Delicate in appearance, 2" length blends inconspicuously with the hanging charms. Note that if your bracelet does not have attachment rings available on its own clasp, you can attach to a bracelet link instead. (Unless you have no other choice, would caution against attaching to a charm ring unless that charm ring is already soldered closed.) For thicker links of more modern bracelets, these safety chain's small clasps required a bit of maneuvering to get them on the links. For thinner links on vintage bracelets, these safety chain's clasps attached easily. Successfully attached these chains to five 7" bracelets, the more modern of which fortunately had links with filigrees of varying thicknesses from which to choose. Am extremely pleased with results.

I didn't find this safety chain useable. First, one of spring rings on the ends of the chain broke off its mounting post while I was trying to retract the spring-loaded wire. Then I noticed that the neomydium magnets on my bracelet closure grabbed the disconnected ring immediately. Strange, I thought. Silver should not be attracted to a neomydium magnet. At least these magnets did not attract the chain. Nor did they attract the silver wire on which the bracelet was strung. Just the little spring rings. My guess is the rings are steel, except for the little retractable wires which are very soft silver. The chain is definitely silver as advertised. And if you read carefully, that's all the vendor claimed was silver. I just assumed the whole thing was made of silver, considering the price. I purchsed the tiny 1" chain. Perhaps the rings on the longer chains are more durable. I don't know. This review is for the short 1" chain only. I definitely do not recommend the short one.

This small and inexpensive bracelet safety chain serves two great functions. The bracelet latches are so delicate they can easily be broken. When used as indicated in the photo this will prevent losing what could be an expensive bracelet. Another great use of this is if a bracelet is just a little bit too small this can make it fit on a wrist just right. Don't waist your jewelry just sit in a box unused because it doesn't fit. My wife has a heirloom bracelet, this is the best money spent to make sure she keeps it to pass it down.

Exactly what I was looking for. I bought a pearl bracelet in China— the clasp makes me a bit nervous. This beautiful little safety chain gives me piece of mind— and I am loving wearing my Tahitian pearls! The chain is delicate enough to still look pretty and the clasps to attach to bracelet are not too small like mentioned in other product reviews. I am ordering a few more to keep on my bracelets. I ordered the 2 inch chain— great size!

I have a bracelet that I was wearing daily, but it would occasionally fall off. I was afraid of losing it, so I bought this chain to go over the existing clasp. It worked perfectly, but unfortunately the lobster clasp broke after about a month. It didn’t come off the chain or anything- the movable part itself broke. I just ordered another, but if it breaks as quickly as the first one did, I’ll have to find another solution.

I bought this as a safety chain and it works great - I have several fine jewelry bracelets that I worry about slipping off because I have very small wrists. This chain is great for that - it's sterling, so it matches many in color and doesn't look cheap with a fine jewelry bracelet. Although I don't need it as an extender, it is good quality and would clearly work well for such purposes. Great buy - will probably buy extras.
