This is a real nice knife for the money. It is bigger than I thought it was going to be and is razor sharp. The handle is nice and grippy. I will have to grab a couple of these for gifts. I also bought a little c clip for it and have it on in a little angle. Perfect on the belt and easy to draw. Made in china.......but not a bad knife. It shaves right out of the box. I am ordering another one now.

I love Cold Steel. Every knife I have purchased from them has been sharp like a scalpel and this little guy is no exception. Small fixed blade but thats what I wanted. Functional plastic sheath and I bought their small clip set so I can carry it on my belt. Very cool little knife and for $19.99…its a steal!

Ive owned the Kyoto 1 and 2 for a few years now, this review applies to both: Affordable fixed blade is as advertised. Handle is very grippy and comfortable. For the price, this is an excellent knife. It’s not going to be benchmade quality and have perfect bevels, but you should expect yours to arrive sharp and fit in its sheath without falling out easily. The guard has not come loose after a couple years of use. Buy this to make your inner samurai self happy. Or as a gift for that japanophile in your life, they’ll love it.

Cold Steel always makes a decent product and there's a decent amount of value in their budget models. This knife is light, compact, razor sharp right out of the box, and the secure-ex sheath holds it well with a tiny bit of rattle. I replaced the belt clip on the sheath with soft loops to wear scout style and it's very hard to notice that way. My only complaint is that the handle feels a bit too small for my hand. I think if they added another quarter to half inch to the handle, I'd probably carry it a lot more often

I am a big fan of Cold Steel products and believe they are solid fun blades. Every blade isn't meant for every task. I feel like the Kyoto II is a clear upgrade from the Kyoto I. Can't go wrong with this little guy.

Very very sharp. Sleek look. A lot of people ask about it or comment on it. Small, compact and balanced. Was well worth the 20 bucks.

Love Cold Steel. For less than $23 best value knife I've bought. I have held it on my belt in the horizontal position for a week now with 1 small zip tie. Extremely quick to deploy, small enough to not be in the way, stays in sheath securely. It's replaced my expensive EDC folding pocket knife. Sharp and solid. Going to get another one!

Ok, so this is kinda my 1st real review about this Impeccably sturdy and finely crafted blade. When I first ordered it, the package that came to my door was empty! The weight and shipping label were both correct and the bubble pack itself wasn't opened so somewhere along the line someone messed up 🤣! But Alas! After contacting customer support they Immediately expedited me a new one that came in 2 days. I absolutely love this Kyoto II, it feels excellent in my hand and I love the Japanese Tanto design. It's perfect for EDC and with it's kydex SecureEx Sheath, the options for mounting are limitless. It has a slim profile, so for me the "in the waist" carry with a belt lanyard works best. The blade did come very sharp out of the box and as usual for Cold Steel it was covered in oil, (which is good) but immediately wiped away. I don't know how deep the tang goes, in case anyone else does and I really don't want to put it through the gauntlet because it just looks so good! 5⭐'s!

Tenía dudas de comprar este producto. Por una parte está el impacto de la marca. Soy coleccionista de cuchillos y navajas y puedo asegurar que Cold Steel es garantía de calidad. Por otra parte está el tamaño de la hoja. Es pequeña. Leyendo las opiniones de los compradores me convencí que el 90 por ciento estaban totalmente satisfechos. E incluso manifiestan su agrado por el tamaño pequeño. Debo decir que como ex practicante de artes marciales tengo preferencia a los diseños de naturaleza japonesa. Este producto tiene el ADN del arte marcial japonés. Me parece que este producto es muy bueno. Tiene un filo saliendo de la caja excelente y una punta escalofriante. Extremadamente puntiagudo. El mango inspirado en las katanas japonesas es de muy alta resistencia y de un agarre extraordinario. No permite deslizamientos en la mano. Es muy seguro manipularlo. La verdad es que estoy muy satisfecho con la compra, considerando que tengo una colección grande de cuchillos de diferentes gamas de precio y calidad. Lo recomiendo al mil por ciento. Y Amazon lo tiene al mejor precio del mercado. Cómprenlo!!!

Average steel. Outdated, but way better than anything with "Solingen" stamped on it, of course. Take care when inserting or removing from the knife from the sheath since the edge rubs against it. Other than that a well made, well ground knife worth getting when on sale. The normal price here on Amazon is way above street price.

This knife is excellent, for edc. I put a cold steel c clip on it, and it fits all my requirements. Worth the money.
