Good, given the price. Just manage your expectations.
Always the question: do you rate something based on the ideal version, regardless of price, or based on the job it does within its price range? This headphone does some noise cancellation - which is more than I can say about another inexpensive one I tried. And it wasn't enough to cover the normal airplane noise, the way over-the-ear headphones with noise cancellation can, at 10x the price. (Blissful silence. You almost hate to play music!) So - you decide how many stars you would give this. I'm keeping them.

works half as well as the Bose QC20, at a quarter of the price
ANC works OK but not great. (I have a pair of Bose QC20 that work great, but needed another ANC set for when I travel with my wife.) these are pretty good for the price, sound great, and are well made. just don't expect noise reduction to match Bose.

Good but not noise cancelling
Good headphone but definitely not noise cancelling eventhough feature is there.

I was a little disappointed with these
I was a little disappointed with these. They are certainly cheap for an ANC headphone, but there's a reason. They don't cancel much noise... they do cancel a bit, but it isn't really anything significant. Also, I don't know what it is about these, but I can't get the earbuds to stay in my ears. I've changed the different sizes, but no matter what I use, they keep falling out. I've never had that issue with other types of earbuds.

Better to just have the small ear-buds without noise cancelling ...
I tried the noise cancelling feature and cannot tell any significant difference as when there is no noise cancelling. However, I don't think this is a problem limited to this product. I have tried other highly-rated noise cancelling ear buds and I just cannot tell a difference between noise cancelling on and off. Better to just have the small ear-buds without noise cancelling that pack into a smaller bundle.

Got what I paid for--but I didn't pay much.
Active noise cancelling? Hmm, can barely tell the difference between on and off. Lots of static when turned on. And they feel like they are too big to fit in my ear--keep slipping out. Guess I got what I paid for--so I guess I'll have to spend some $$$s and get a real pair.

Tick/popping sound while using iPhone 7 adapter
Mine were defective. It's possibly a compatibility problem with the adapter for the iPhone 7, but they make a tick/popping sound every quarter second. This noise is audible with or without the noise canceling turned on. I bought these at the recommendation of Wirecutter and I'm really dissatisfied.
