Good Grip and Waterproof
Had Keens for years, Really comfy but even new were slick on wet surfaces. Progressively got worse as they aged. Confidence levels and speed drop when running and hiking when constant fear of slippage is present especially on steep inclines. The Terrx Swift R3s shoes gave me back that confidence. Shoes grip very well on slick rock and wet surfaces. Water proof to the ankles (of course) but was tip toeing through 4" of water with no leaks and dry socks. Great for disc golf too. Great traction when throwing. So good, I just bought a second pair. Only complaint is that they are a little hot and do hold sweat, because, you know, waterproof. Liking these shoes.

Great hiking shoes
I have had good luck with previous adidas Terrex hikers, so decided to try the new model. They aren't cheap by any means. I was happy to see they went back to traditional lacing, not the quick laces. When new the bottom tread is super stiff. They break in some after awhile. That stiff sole is perfect when hiking over rocky terrain, as I found out last week in the GSMNP in NC. Waterproofing is great also. Only slight negative is that they are a bit warm in the summer, but not enough of a problem to offset the positives. Oh and I think they look great also. Perfect fit in my normal size of 11.5.

Amazing hiking shoe
Bought these for a trip to Iceland, worm them a week before for break in and didn't need it, they are comfortable and fit perfectly, held up great after hiking in rocks, sand and everything the outdoors had to offer, great grip in wet dirt and wet grass on a hill, didn't fall once, didn't slip. My favorite shoes for the outdoors, I don't like hiking boots and these aren't too tall. Kept my feet warm and dry in pure snow and walking in shallow puddles... Love em

Terrex GTX never fails
I discovered the Terrex Swift GTX hiking shoe in 2015 and have owned three pairs of the originals. This is a new version of the same shoe and it is an improvement over what was already a great shoe. It seems a bit wider and more stable. The toe box is squared a bit which I like personally. The look is clean. And, I appreciate that they moved away from the pull/bungee lacing system to a more traditional lacing system. It seemed like a clever idea, but the cord lacing system actually wore away at the surface of the shoe fairly quickly. The GoreTex liner is the best waterproof shoe lining system I have ever worn in any hiking/outdoor shoe and adidas has mastered that fit and last. I have NEVER had a blistering or hot spot issue with ANY Terrex shoe or boot with the GTX lining insert. I simply pray that adidas does not abandon this product line EVER as they have done in the past with some of the best weather proof products (example: the Scorch Stadium jacket and pants...I own five sets because they stopped making them five years ago). Bottom line...these are great shoes and highly recommend them forever.

Gore-Tex, perfet fit!
Awesome heavy duty Continental rubber soles with arch reinforcement, gore-Tex (Cant bet that)! the size 10 1/2 fits perfectly even though they are not a wide size. Easy on and off, I have stability issues and these low-cut hikers offer great support, with room for insoles if needed.

Light and good grip
I wanted to find lighter hiking shoes to replace my existing Merrell Moab 2 shoes. These shoes are definitely light and have great grip. When I took the new shoes out for my first hike, they did feel a little stiff initially, but quickly softened up. I haven't had an opportunity to test out how waterproof these shoes are.A few things to note though:* There is a bit of heel slippage* I typically wear Adidas shoes, but for some reason, these felt a bit larger for a typical size 9 shoe* May not be due to the shoe, but I felt more debris get into the shoe during the hike when compared to my previous Moab 2.

Pest control technician recommended!!
I bought these shoes because I'm a pest control tech who is always on the move outdoors and I needed a waterproof "walking" shoe. My feet never get wet anymore even with the morning dew all over the grass.I've sprayed water from a hose on these shoes and no water gets in!The shoes are a little stiff at first but they do break in and are a great hiking shoe, the tread is similar to cleats but not going to hook into the ground. The bottom is made from continental rubber a tire manufacturer fyi.Highly recommend if you want something waterproof and comfortable. I got the black ones size 10 1/2 they fit perfect and I usually wear a 10 1/2.

Most uncomfortable shoes I ever purchased
I wanted to like these shoes, at 150.00 plus tax I expected quality and comfort. Instead I got MADE IN CHINA! description says made in USA or imported ? Yup China. While that is not a deal breaker the pain these things caused is inexcusable, they seem to be molded to Fred Flintstone. The tongue has some sort of binding down the sides that bite into the top of your foot and there is severe heel lift as well. The Gore-Tex is a nice touch but even that made my feet hot and sweaty in 70 degree weather. Overall F- for comfort and fit. good thing I can return them.

I wanted to like them but...
But I couldn't. I had to send them back. Also because of the defects it had after a few weeks of wearing. For S$189, after just 1 month of use in both warm and cold climate, I can say the following:- they look good but not like in the ads. The front side looks bulky and on the sides you can see the glue. Wonder how long they would last.- in cold weather they are keeping my feet warm and dry. In warm weather my feet is sweaty and super warm. Very uncomfortable. You get blistered!- the grip is good on snow, but very very slippery on wet surfaces (like stepping on a sewage lid when rainy. )- speaking of rain, your feet stays dry- laces are horrible. They unwrap after 2 minute. Need to double knot.- size was good with half number bigger, as other people are suggesting- hill feels slippery and not very well sustained- boot feel robustOverall a nice boot but for the price, I don't want a nice boot. I want an excellent one. Will try salomon next or something without goretex, as goretex membrane feels like sauna for you foot in hot weather. Thanks Amazon for helping me send back the item even after the 30 days.
