Very cool product works well on my hard hat he will keep your four head cool

You get what you pay for. It has the gel beads in it that when you get wet are supposed to stay cool. But there are hardly any in there so it doesn’t work. It took me 2 weeks to even realize there were some cooling beads in it, that’s how many there aren’t.

It is not air conditioning but since I have to wear a hard hat to work good enough. If you are outside and have a breeze it seems to work better and cooling when evaporating. I am mostly inside and not much air flow. I will continue to use it.

At first I would use this the way it's intended by soaking it in water, and it felt slimy against my skin but I didn't mind. Eventually I stopped soaking it and it makes a great sweatband. The gel inside stays mostly in powder form all day and sweat never drips into my eyes, this really works better than soaking it and "staying cool for hours." Now I wanted to clarify the leaking gel, when it was new I could soak the liner and squeeze it as hard as possible with no leaking, now that I've had it a while, I can squeeze the gel right through the fabric. So I wear it dry and I'm happy anyway.

Dont cool you down near enough unless you soak it in water then freeze it lol ive now tried 2 of these and initially if soaked il cold water cools you but minutes later your hotter than before put it on due to humidity im guessing very disappointed

Such a let down, stays cold for about 5 minutes, drips water all down your face and has a nasty slimey feeling on your forehead. Wouldnt buy it again for a dollar

Good product comfortable and more hygienic than the horrible foam thing that was on my hard hat before it. It was like a sponge

After soaking in water the band swelled up so much that I couldn't get my helmet on, and for me it felt cool for about a minute and then it was body temperature, had to take my helmet off for it to cool again,I threw it in the bin.

Bought this as I'm a paver, and we were having a heat warning season. Other reviews said it arrived not having any crystals in the mesh, and mine arrived also paper thin. I included a side by side of the band before and after soaking in water- it works as intended. The material inside is similar to that in diapers and feminine pads; it can absorb up to 300% of it's own mass in water. It swells and gets THICK. The coldness lasts depends on temperature; for me I have a cooler with ice for my drinks. I soak it for about 5 minutes and it stays chilly for about 3 hours. The evaporative cooling works best in dry areas: here in the Maritimes we were having himidex of over 9 degrees of difference (34 feels like 41 one day) so I don't really notice that, but when we take our breaks I just soak it again. I find I works way better than just cloth based bands (I've tried 4 others, including one our work provides). I also bought the cap piece and same - works great. This is definitely worth the price.

Good fit for when working in the hot weather of Brazil and better than the usual rubbish fitted

Used twice, hand rinsed and dried after each use. Water retaining substance inside the band turned to clumps of hard gravel-like substance. Feels like stones grinding into your forehead. Most of Ergodyne's products seem decent, but this one is in the trash.
