Great complement to West African cuisine
After having spend a few years in West Africa, I had the opportunity to try quite a few local dishes and was able to watch the food being prepared. It is not easy to find all the ingredients (or time) to make some of these dishes. I made sauce arachide (peanut sauce / stew) and used the crayfish and it actually was reminiscent of the tastes I had in Africa. This can also be used in Cajun style-dishes. I would recommend this product for those people who enjoy African cuisine.

A bit costly but very delicious, sad I can't buy more.
My first time having crayfish. It was supposed to be used in cooking but I ended up snacking on all of it. Would have loved to buy more but seems it is no longer available.

"Bag-O-Shells"
This is not North American Crayfish/Crawfish/Crawdad if that is what you are looking for. It does not taste like it either. The bag is essentially dried crustacean and/or shrimp shells that can be boiled into a broth for sauces or flavoring and then strained out. If you are looking for a seasoning or flavor "enhancer" or additive to boil in and strain out, then this might work for you. If you are looking for dried crawfish to add to a soup or stew, then this is not for you. Very limited labeling on the bag I received, so I cannot confirm the actual contents or nutrition.

If you like dried crawfish give them a try.
I was confused when they offered this product. I thought it was like the small dried shrimp in Chinese dishes. My wife bravely tried one but was not impressed. I couldn’t convince our 100 lb poodle to try them either. I’m sure this is a fine product for west Africans but it was a product I shouldn’t have picked.
