Of course it depends a bit on how cold it is outside and how well insulated your windows are. Our living and dining room area is about 14x30ish with TERRIBLE insulation (80 year old house w/a couple concrete walls) and we keep two of these at opposite ends running 24/7 in the winter, usually set to 70. In the spring we've only kept one on and often turn it off for being to warm. I would recommend setting the heater to 70-75 and just leave it on eco setting. They take a little time to heat up a room but once they're going they keep it toasty.
