So I ordered a 9 instead of an 8.5. The 9 fit very well! The toes are a bit narrow, but overall they didn't feel uncomfortable as I walked around. Someone had noted the slouching at the ankle, but I felt that these didn't slouch significantly more than other boots I have. I love that the design is simple and a bit on the western side. The faux finishing doesn't seem to scratch very easily, so I'm hoping they hold up well. These aren't the wide calf version, but I felt that these could stretch a little more of my calves were larger.
