How long does this take to work?

It works immediately if you are struggling with low stomach acid. You might have to take more than what's on the bottle. I have to take 5-6 capsules for relief with each meal. You will have to experiment to find how much is needed. You will get a burning sensation in your stomach if you take too much...that lets you know to back off and lower dosage. Not sure what you are taking it for so I'm just telling you what has worked for me. If you are struggling with GERD or reflux then it's probably low stomach acid which this product works great for! Good luck!

I would also like to know the source of the hcl?

This Betaine Hydrochloride is from an artificial source. This is a synthetic product and is not Betaine Hydrochloride derived from a natural source.

I just looked at my bottle,nowhere does it say it is non gmo.
