It depends on how contaminated your paint is. The more contaminated the paint, the more liquid you will need to remove the contaminats. This kit provided enough liquid to throughly clay my entire large Infiniti sedan; including windows and rims. Be sure that if you clay your rims that it is the final thing you clay as the amount of contaminants will likely render the clay bar unusable afterwards. **Q: Do I need this if I have Ibex protection ?** A: I am not sure what the ibex protection is but the Mothers kit doesn't damage any factory finish if done according to the instructions. It is designed to remove dirt, contaminates on the surface and a wax finish needs be immediately applied. You might want to check with the ibex manufacturer on using a clay bar on their product specifically though. **Q: What kind of clay bar is this? Heavy? Medium or fine?** A: It is a little courser than the popular off-brands. I personally like to use both. I can regulate the amount of aggression in the clay bar better. Is that necessary? I haven't a clue. But I'm doing it. **Q: Just bought the kit is this enough detail spray for a 2007 impala** A: with the spray bottle and 2 bars I did 2 full-size sedans, and there is enough for 1 more. You don't need to spray much to keep the clay lubricated. Don't do it on a hot day nor spray too big an area or the moisture evaporates and you need more. Still have some Instant Detailer left in the bottle & two unused Clay Bars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best improvement to aging paint available *by J***S on February 2, 2026* This was not my first experience using this clay kit as I have been using Mother's clay to detail the paint on my cars since I first learned about the advantages of using clay on a car's finish back in the late 1990's. Body and paint shops have been using clay for decades but Mother's brand brought the advantages of clay to remove paint contaminates to the gerneral public and I'm thankful they did. The before and after difference in the feel of the car's finish is amazing. I would never have believed the product claim of removing surface impurities until I tried it for myself. By way of example, I can stand the instant detailer (used to lubricate the clay) on the finish before using the clay and the bottle will stay in place. After using the clay, I can place the bottle in the same location and it won't stay in place. The finish is so smooth that nothing will stay in place, even something as light as a micro-fiber towel just slides off the finish. The clay treatment will not remove surface imperfections like swirl marks or small scratches but it prepares the finish for the next steps in a good paint detail job. I usually follow the clay with a polishing compound and then seal the finish with a ceramic "wax" to protect it from UV rays and the onslaught of chemical and mineral contaminats that are always present in the enviornment. Modern car finishes are very tough but if you want them to last its still important to clean and protect them every year or so.
