Having battled acne and extremely oily skin for years, I know how frustrating it is to feel like your skin never cooperates. But after discovering this moisturizer two years ago, I can finally say I’ve found something that works truly, consistently, and without side effects. The texture is lightweight yet hydrating, and it somehow manages to control oil while keeping my skin comfortable all day. I even convinced my dermatologist to let me keep using it on top of my Tretinoin 0.01%, and it’s been the perfect pairing. My acne has stayed under control, my skin feels balanced, and I’ve never had to deal with that greasy, shiny look again even as someone who’s bald and extra prone to oil buildup. Day Routine My morning routine has become a ritual I actually look forward to. I start by cleansing with La Roche-Posay’s Purifying Foaming Cleanser for Oily Skin, which leaves my face fresh but not stripped. After patting dry, I apply a few drops of their Hyaluronic Acid Serum, which sinks in beautifully and gives my skin a smooth, plump feel. Then comes the star of the show the Toleriane Double Repair Matte Moisturizer. It glides on effortlessly, feels weightless, and instantly mattifies without that powdery look. I top it off with a broad-spectrum sunscreen (though, to be honest, I don’t love La Roche-Posay’s sunscreen line as much). The result is skin that feels clean, hydrated, and ready to face the day literally. Night Routine At night, I take extra care to keep my skin calm and balanced after a long day. I start again with the same La Roche-Posay cleanser to remove oil, dirt, and any sunscreen residue. Once my face is completely dry, I apply a pea-sized amount of Tretinoin 0.01%, focusing on areas prone to acne and oil buildup. After waiting a few minutes for it to absorb, I follow with the Toleriane Double Repair Matte Moisturizer again. It layers perfectly on top of Tretinoin no irritation, no greasiness, just a soft, hydrated feel that keeps my skin calm overnight. I’ve been following this exact routine for two years, and it’s the first time in my life I’ve had clear, balanced skin without flare-ups. Now, I’m so loyal to this product that I buy 5 or 6 bottles at a time whenever there’s a sale or promotion. I am pleasantly surprised by this product. I am 50 yrs young, going through perimenopause and my facial tone has seen better days. Ok so We all know that stress. Environmental elements can affect your physical, mental, emotional health, especially aging women that don't take care of their older skin. You if don't take care of yourself. I have tried pretty much every skin care regimen that a woman can possibly try. As stated above, I am 50 years old. I still have breakouts from time to time. I have broken red capillaries on my face. I have large poors. I have wrinkles. Don't get me started on finding a great foundation. I haven't found that yet but anyways. I ordered this product and I was not for sure about what to expect just by the pure name of it. LOL but I ordered it along with a couple of the other skin care products from the same brand. And I immediately washed my face and used my little shaver to exfoliate and get rid of the fuzzies and applied everything that I bought including this product and my face felt immediately 10 times better, it was almost kind of instant the redness went away. The appearance of my pores was very minimal. My face looked shiny, kinda rejuvenated. It's not oily, it's really slick. It's very viscous, slimy consistency. There is no smell, it's not grainy, it is whitish in color goes on clear rubs right in it takes a minute for it to dry on your face so it's kind of I wanna say tacky, but after it dries on your face, it feels really smooth and it's almost kinda like it tightens your face when it dries, so that was kind of a nice effect. So when it dries on your face and it tightens like it did, I almost felt like it tightened the pores on my face. So that was a good indication that it was kind of smoothing out the appearance of the large pores that I have. Overall, I would suggest buying this despite the weirdness of it. It's good I have extremely sensitive skin. I have T zone area so I'm part dry part oily. I get a bit of psoriasis or eczema behind my ears or whatever and around my nose and my laugh lines are super sensitive to different products, especially Vitamin C products which I will never buy again. But my face gets Super dry and flaky. And this product did not do that at all. No burn effect either. Exceeded my expectations overall. I'm very happy with my purchase and I will leave reviews for the other products that I bought from this brand on the other pages.

Huge fan of this moisturizer. I found out about it from a friend while on a trip and saw her using it and asked about it. I bought my own soon after, and simply put it has been a great addition to my daily life. This moisturizer is meant for an oily to combination skin type and I definitely fall more on the combination side. Some parts of my face get very dry while others get so oily I swear I could use it to cook popcorn. But even with this difference, my face has felt overall very moisturized since using this. I do think it’s a bit pricey, but it truthfully does last me quite a good while which I think helps to even out the price range. I also love the feel of the product, it is very smooth and doesn’t feel oily or “thick” in the way that some other moisturizers have in the past, this has a much thinner consistency. I tend to have issues with touching things, such as lotion, with the palm of my hands as I cannot stand the feeling, but I do not have this same reaction when using this, it is quite pleasant. Another thing I enjoy is that this is pretty much scentless, I tend to get a bit overwhelmed by lots of scents so I try to limit the scented items I apply, so this has been great in those books. Overall this is a recommended product from me. I feel like it is very easy to apply and feels great on my skin, it gives an almost matte appearance after so I don’t feel like I’m shiny with grease. The smoothness of it also helps to spread out easy so I don’t have issues with apply it to much in any certain area. I will also note on the very rare occasion I have had it start to “peel” almost when I have put on too much and allowed it to dry, but this is not a common occurrence and has not turned me away. Definitely has felt effective in helping moisturize my skin.

It has done wonders for me so far, and it’s been 2 days since I started using it, my skin feels soft, not oily or greasy, my cheeks are usually dry but they aren’t since I bought new skincare products. My nose/forehead is glowy and not oily. I’ve been using Byoma Jelly Cleanser and Milky Toner and it’s working well for me, my skin barrier feels like it’s getting better and my skin is more glowy. The moisturizer itself feels nice to apply on the skin, and I feel like my skin is better protected now!!

La Roche-Posay was recommended to me by my dermatologist as a daily moisturizer. I was delighted to find it is NOT like other products. It is enjoyable to apply and refreshing. I chose this one without sunscreen because it does not irritate my eyes at all. It is great for sensitive skin. This high quality product really works. I have noticed such a great change in my skin’s moisture and texture.

First, I want to say that this lotion doesn't have a bothersome smell or consistency. The texture is nice, and it feels light and soothing during application. It hasn't irritated my skin, burned my eyes (I won't use products that do that, to include sunscreens!), or caused me any irritation or acne. It's a good value. I also have normal to combo skin for the most part. Sometimes I turn into a total grease slick during the hot, humid months, but for the most part, my oiliness is typically in my T zone. I do use some mattifying cosmetics occasionally, but I tend to prefer a more dewy moisturizer. Sometimes I use thicker creams, but for normal day use, I usually put on regular Cetaphil (light consistency) or a tinted moisturizer with SPF, and sometimes at night I will put on a thicker moisturizer such as CeraVe cream, IT cosmetics Miracle, or even a thicker cica cream. Depends on actives, weather, and overall skin factors. This stuff is MATTE. I was actually surprised how matte it got because it went on lovely like a light gel moisturizer. No more than 10 minutes later, I looked in the mirror and all the luster had left my skin. I kind of looked waxy. Okay, not kind of... I looked like I was ready for Madame Tussauds newest exhibit. It is pretty odd. It didn't feel bad or anything, and now that I evaluate it more for this review, I also felt like my skin was made of wax. I did wear it all day with no issues, but I think if I wore this daily, it would have a very drying effect which I don't deal with at all in a moisturizer. I'm not striving for the slicked, "glowy" look all the time. If I want a more dewy glow, I still mattify my T zone with primers or powder. I don't find all that gleam and grease glow to be flattering. So, I have tried to just use this on my T zone. It worked out better, honestly, but it still felt a little drying. I applied a thicker cream at night so I wouldn't dry out. I've also tried it with a more dewy foundation, and still had the same effect. I am considering mixing it with something else just so it doesn't go to waste. I have no desire to "waxify" the skin on my body, so that's out. I really wish I liked it more, but I'm just not there yet. Maybe I never will be.

This is a really good non-comedogenic product. You can use it for oily skin but not good for dry skin. This is an expensive product but worth every penny

Unfortunately this product doesn't work at all for me, my face is more oily than if I hadn't applied the product, or even after applying a normal moisturizer. My forehead and nose goes into sebum production overdrive and have to use oil blotting paper, which I don't have to do with other matte moisturisers. I would return the product if I could, but looks like I'll have to use it at night to make use of it.
