Made By Johnny Women's Casual Boat Neck and V-Neck 3/4 Sleeve Draped Dolman Top with Side Shirring Premium Shirt

I was pleasantly surprised by this top. I bought it as a piece for my Halloween costume for this year (yes, I start in August) because I needed an inexpensive shirt that I expected not to wear more than a couple times. I went back and forth over what size to purchase as some said it ran small, others said it was true to size. Since I needed a slightly snugger fit for the costume and I didn't want the sleeves to be too baggy (this has a dolman sleeve to it) I bought it in the regular size I buy which is XL. I am 5'10" and usually wear a size 14, 36DD bra size, broader shoulders and this top fits great. It does run smaller than the measurements listed. The XL was supposed to have a chest measurement of 49", my bust is 44.5" and it only has a little extra room around the chest. I think they must be measuring part of the dolman sleeve in their sizing since it starts getting baggier right around the chest area but this does not offer extra space in the bust, it is part of the sleeve. I would say pick a size according to what fit you want. If you want a snugger fit, pick your regular size. If you want a looser fit, go up a size. It's a pretty flattering top for me, I like the ruching around the bottom and even though I'm taller than average for a woman, it still sits at about mid to lower butt. The fabric is light weight and I expected it to be very sheer but it's not. I can wear a black cami under it and you can't see it at all. It can be a little clingy to bumps though, you can see my belt loops sticking out pretty prominently, but I just scrunch up the ruching and it camouflages it. I was only planning to use the shirt for my costume but I've been wearing it to work and it's so comfortable and looks nice. I think I'll be buying it in a few different colors!

I got two of these tops, the black v-neck and the teal scoop neck. They look so cute on! I'll pair them with skinny jeans, leggings, or maxi skirts. What I love about them is that they are so versatile. FIT: I normally wear a medium top and am a size 4-5 on the bottom but I ordered the large because I have a large bust. The large fits great but not exactly like the picture (close though). The bottom of the shirt fits like the picture (and fits perfectly) but the top is a little looser and the sleeves are not as fitted in the upper half. If I hang my arms at my sides the top DOES look like the picture - but if I lift them you can see that it is a dolman (bat-wing style) sleeve. It's actually really cute though. I could have fit in a medium but it would have been TIGHT...not skin-tight, but fitted. I think a medium may have fit too snug after a wash or two. Also, the teal scoop-neck fits a little looser in general than the black v-neck. Not sure why. VERDICT: Considering my actual size in tops and pants, I would say these run a bit small, but not too much. If you have a smaller bust than me and wear the same or smaller size in dress/pants, I'd definitely order the medium. Otherwise, I would size up unless you want it to fit snug. If you're big around the hips/bottom I might go one or two sizes up, since the bottom of the top is more fitted. MATERIAL: These are made of soft, quality cotton and I love the feel. I don't know why some of the other reviewers say they are "thin". They are about the same thickness as a regular, soft t-shirt. I haven't washed them yet but I have a ton of tops in this material and you need to hand wash cold, hang or lay flat to dry (to avoid pilling). COLOR: The teal is beautiful and looks the same as the picture. They are not see-through at all (but I bought 2 darker colors).

I like this top but it runs very big. I'm 5'8" and just under 200 pounds, 38C chest. I ordered a large and it was much too big. The boat neck top is very big and felt like it was hanging off the shoulders. Which is fine if you want that style with a tank top under and leggings but I did not. It also felt like bat wings because the upper back and armpit area had so much loose fabric. If you're top heavy (chest, upper arms, upper back) this would work great because it's got more room up top for sure. It gave me no definition at all and did not look flattering. I do really like the style though. The scrunchy part around the hips was not as cute in person as online. The shirt didn't have all those wrinkles perfectly placed in real life. The material is also thin and somewhat see through in the light blue. You could see bra outline but it wasn't so bad that I would have to wear a tank top underneath. I'm sure darker colors are better at hiding the thin material. I bought 6 of these shirts and just gave them all to my daughter who is 5'8" and 215 pounds. She's top heavy (bigger shoulders and more weight on her upper back) and these shirts fit her much nicer. Still loose enough to be comfortable but not as big on her. I am reordering in a size Medium and selecting some darker colors. If the medium fits as good as I hope it does I'll update my review. I would recommend ordering down one size if you want a fitted look and ordering your regular size if you want that baggy/leggings look. Update: got medium and it does fit much better but its still looser in the armpit area than I'd like but ordering a small wouldn't fix that or fit me. The jade color is very vibrant. I got this same shirt from another amazon vendor and they're very similar but those ones didn't have the thin material lime these and they were more fitted. Out of another 6 tops the MBJ one is still my least favorite. The pictures show size medium.

I first ordered this top in black ,beige, dark brown ,then grey ,upon receiving both black and grey they are definitely made different then other colors ,both had tags that say premium(black and grey )better quality and fabric ,the chocolate brown was horrible ,it came used ,rolled up ,and I sent it back but I also noticed it's material along with the beige color are cheap , scratchy fabric ,that pulls easily ,very different then other colors ,so I kept the black and grey ,sadly the beige even though if I had noticed the difference in quality and fabric would have sent back ,it does come true to size ,very comfortable ,I'm 5'7 weigh 125 ,I have both small and medium ,you could definitely order normal size but in belly it's form fitting clingy somewhat and can see any extras ya have in that area ,so I went up to a medium for a more loose comfortable fit ,I deducted two stars for huge difference in quality , material ,and fabric ,so basically you don't know if you'll get the premium made tops it depends on which colors you pick ,so overall not worth it unless they were made all the same .

The Made By Johnny Women's 3/4-Sleeved Draped Dolman Top is a cute and very flattering shirt that looks great and washes well. The material is very soft and comfortable to wear, and I like how it's fitted yet baggy in the right areas. The color of the material is exactly as photographed and the feel of the fabric is very smooth and soft. It has a nice amount of stretch to it and I liked how it hugs at my hips but is loose around my chest and belly area. The stretch and cut definitely give me shape, but also has enough draping to hide problem areas. The shirt feels airy and lightweight, and I found that after washing several times that the material does not fade, pill, or stretch out. I also didn't have issues with the material being too see-through or thinned out in some areas. It's thick enough that I don't need to wear a tank or camisole underneath, but not so thick that it heats me up. The only complaint I have about this particular shirt is that the sleeve length is more elbow-length as opposed to a 3/4 sleeve, but it's only a minor complaint to be honest. While I would've liked the sleeve to be just a tad longer, it still looks attractive and is comfortable to wear - there was definitely no pinching at the arms. Overall, this is a very cute and comfortable shirt and is something I will be purchasing again in different colors.

It’s snug across the skin. If you have any type of a tummy. I suggest not to order it unless you are going to wear it under something. The material is nice and the style is nice and it’s made well.

I have MANY of these in various colors and patterns. Very slimming look. Can be casual or dressy. Good pricing & I'll probably buy up every color/print.

I was SO hopeful about this top. Recently lost 50 lbs. and starting to feel more comfortable with more fitted clothing such as this one that was noted as shirred on the side and v-neck, not the droopy, oversized tunics i usually wear. Despite the weight loss, I am extremely self-conscious about my heavy arms and thought this dolman style sleeve would help disguise a bit of the heavy upper arm. Disappointing purchase: fabric is very thin, plasticy (synthetic) feeling and clingy; the red color is more of a tomato red, and top that all off with the fact that there were 2 small holes in the fabric straight out of the package. We all know Amazon purchases are hit or miss sometimes, especially with lesser known brands. Another selling point was the 'designed in the USA.' Well, it may have an attractive design but that didn't count for.much with the damaged and clingy, thin fabric. Sadly, another 'miss' for me and this one's going back.

These are attractive tops; the material is light, soft and drapes nicely and they appear to be well made. Unfortunately I didn't care for the neckline. In the pictures it looks like just a scoop neckline, but I found it to be too big and wide so that it almost looked like an off shoulder design. I probably would have loved it when I was a younger woman, but I'm not in that category anymore :) so I sent it back. Having said that, this is just a personal opinion on what's suitable for me, so I have no trouble recommending them for someone who is looking for that style.
