These caster wheels are a huge improvement over the standard plastic wheels that came on my office chair. At work, my chair rolls across concrete floors, and these make it glide so much smoother with almost no effort. The difference was noticeable immediately. Installation only took a couple of minutes since the old wheels pulled right out and these snapped into place. They're also much quieter than plastic wheels and roll smoothly over different surfaces without getting hung up. I've also noticed they don't mark up the floor, and they seem to pick up less hair and debris than I expected. The only minor downside is that if your chair has an uncommon stem size, you'll want to double-check compatibility before ordering. A few other reviewers also mentioned the wheels can make it easier for the chair to roll away if you're used to the resistance of standard plastic casters, but that's really just because they roll so effortlessly. Overall, I wish I had switched sooner. They're quieter, smoother, and much nicer than plastic wheels. If you're tired of fighting your office chair every time you move, these are absolutely worth the upgrade.

So far these are a wonderful improvement!! We recently upgraded to a high pile carpet and immediately were stuck in our rolling office chairs. After researching it, we settled on the rollerblade type: but they were no help at all. More searching, then decided on these...and they actually work on our carpet! Quiet, smooth and easy rolling over the carpet...we both could pull up to our table and desks without throwing our backs out! They look classy and sturdy. Easy to intall and work great on our carpet!

ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER I was looking at a new chair that had a single wheel caster, and then decided to look for just casters. I found these, ordered them and love them. I have tile floors, these have a soft rubber tire similar to a roller blade. On tile they move much more smoothly and don't "drag" when they turn the way the factory two wheel hard ones the chair came with. Install is a breeze - i just used a ball pean hammer to get the old wheel off and then a small piece of wood to carefully tap this one in. I might have been able to just push then sit on it to seat them but I had scrap wood so that worked great. I really love the range of motion with these. I don't have carpet (I live in the desert) but for most I'm guessing these would work better than the factory castors on most chairs. On shorter carpets I'm sure they'd be a breeze. I wish I'd bought these when I bought the chair. The fit perfectly in the standard mount point, appear to be built really well, look good, and only time will tell how durable they are but they seem pretty good.

I wish I had bought these sooner. I use a Lazy Boy office chair on medium-thickness carpet, and these wheels make the chair glide across the carpet with ease. They feel super smooth and make no noise at all. They feel like they were made with top-quality parts. Worth the $$

Recently switched from a Steelcase Leap V1 to a V2. I much preferred the wheels on the V1, they rolled smoother and pivoted easier. Instead of forking over the absurd money for the OEM wheels, I figured I'd give the 'rollerblade' style a shot. They installed easily, and quality seems above average. I do have some concerns with the exposed bearings on the shaft (where the post slides into the chair base) - but those should be easy enough to clean and lube. As far as glide goes, the chair rolls very easy - a definite improvement over the plastic wheels. My only complaint is that it takes a bit of effort to get all five wheels oriented in the right direction and rolling. But once you're over that hump, it's off to the races. I believe it's due to the smaller footprint of this style of wheel, compared to the 2" wide plastic wheels. They also tend to 'fall' into the divots on my desk mat a bit more. I'm very happy overall, and would certainly recommend at this price point.
