I did quite a bit of research before I chose this brand and it paid off. They are an extremely quality conscious company and are very responsive to inquiries. The process they use to get this powder insures a maximum of nutrient benefits. And, it is ORGANIC....quite a number of the other products were not.After about 10 days of using the powder, I do notice that I feel a subtle, even sort of energizing affect after taking 1 and a half teaspoons of the powder. I have noticed this especially after I am tired from not getting enough sleep the night before. The "upper" lasts for several hours to maybe 4 or 5 hours. One bag should last 57 days with the recommended 1 teaspoon daily.I take it straight, 1/2 teaspoon popped into my mouth 3 individual times at one sitting. I tried mixing it with liquid but that left too much of the powder wasted on the interior sides of the cup after I finished drinking it. It has a really nice, sweet, tangy berry flavor. I chase it with a few sips of kefir.The very dark purple color indicates this food will have really great benefits in the long run. The more I research maqui berries the more I am impressed with the awesome benefits of this deep, deep purple fruit. It is actually supposed to have 10 times more polyphenols than grape wine and 100 times more anthocyanins!Great product and I will be using it regularly.

We use this superfood as part of our super-food rotation. I find the flavor itself to be very pronounced, yet tolerable. (I thought Maqui was supposed to be mild in flavor.) I also find it to be very "seedy" as if I used a cup of blackberries in my smoothie. Not my favorite texture, but for me, it means using maqui only with blueberries or frozen acai, as rasberries, blackberries and strawberries can augment the seediness-factor. Because I find the flavor so pronounced, Maqui seems to taste best to me, in berry-based shakes and smoothies.The pouch this product comes in did not stay sealed despite the zipper-seal on the pouch. We had to transfer ours to a glass storage jar to keep it sealed and fresh.

I read a little of reviews about putting this in your smoothies or juice. I tried it in my juice. It's gritty. I read where someone said they put it in a small shot of water and drink it fast. Don't listen to that guy unless you want to barf. I don't drink smoothies but am pretty sure that is the best way to eat this. The taste isn't horrible. I just can't get past the texture.

If you are looking for a great supplement that will help you with detox, energy, weight loss,this is it, its a great company and i have reordered three times, will continue to do so. when i make smoothies, even with spirulina they come out purple, Nice job maqui berry!

I love the flavor and color of maqui added to my smoothies with protein powder and mixed berries. I just wish it was a little cheaper.
