After buying into a lot of Asian skincare hype, I've become more discerning about hype vs reality. I do think the Laniege milky toner does live up to the hype. It's a very creamy water consistency, literally like watered-down milk. It's very moisturizing and hydrating in a very thin way, by which I mean it's thin enough to be buildable and layerable depending on needs. I've seen reviews of others who can use this as a moisturizer alone in certain conditions. I've not yet tried it alone as where I live has been incredibly hot and dry for a long time, but when it's more humid and sticky outside I could see me trying this as a simple moisturizing product. As it is now, I layer it under my daily moisturizer and feel it gives a nice boost. I also layer it over tretinion at night and under my night cream and oils. A bit of extra something that's subtle but very noticeable at the same time. It does make my skin very shiny for a few hours after application. I'm not a fan of the glazed donut look, so I was nervous about this at first. Once it sinks in, the shine is very dewy, not a greasy shine, that makes it easier for me. As the day wears on and the product soaks in, my skin is no longer shiny but has such a look of softness. The product itself isn't really "soft", it's not sticky per se but has a definite tacky-ness that's noticeable if you touch your face. By days end, it doesn't look sticky, tacky, greasy, shiny...it looks soft, hydrated, babied up. Really digging this new product, I will update if my opinion changes for better or worse.

It’s way too early to write a review but I just HAD TO! It’s been 3 days since using it. My skin in the dry LA air has been flaky and irritated. Adding this product in between steps really locked in that moisture for me. I sprayed just the toner alone on bare skin (bought a separate attachment), and it instantly calmed my skin down. I looked dewy, not greasy. It felt like I had a very light moisturizer on but in liquid/mist form. I woke up the next day with skin looking and feeling protected, hydrated, and HEALTHY. Can’t wait to see results months down the line. I can see why there’s crazy hype around this product. K-Beauty don’t play!!!

When I used this product for the first time, I didn’t think I was going to like it. It felt a bit on the thin side, and I wasn’t sure how well it was going to moisturize my skin. It has since earned its place as one of my holy grails. It’s lightweight, super hydrating, and worth every cent I paid for it. I love this product!

If plump, juicy, “suspiciously good, don’t ask me my secrets” type of skin is your goal, Laneige Cream Skin understood the assignment. The second this touches my face, my skin is like: OOOHH!!… we’re hydrated-hydrated!! Bouncy. Cushiony. Glossy in a healthy way. Not greasy, not slick, just that soft, supple, “expensive skin” look. My face feels like it drank a full glass of water, took a nap, and woke up emotionally stable. Now, before you ask why there’s no after photo of my face right now…. Listen. I’m currently wearing a barrier repair cream, which means my face looks like I lost a fight with a jar of white paste. That’s exactly why I’m showing the before and after on my arm instead. Same results, minus the jump scare. As an esthetician, I like to keep things simple. I do not believe in 10 step skincare routines for daily life. Unless I’m giving a facial, it’s too much to do on a daily basis Period. Skin doesn’t need to be gutted and renovated every time you wash your face. It just needs good products, solid formulations and consistency. That’s why I love that Cream Skin is a toner AND a moisturizer. Two steps knocked out in one go. Efficient. Elegant. No chaos. No trendy nonsense that’s going to wreck your skin barrier. That sounds like my kind of product. Bottom line: If you want skin that looks plump, juicy, calm, and well-behaved (unlike kids these days 😜) without overworking it, Laneige Cream Skin is that girl. Minimal effort, maximum glow.

One of my favorite toners! It’s a thin milky consistency but makes my skin feel so soft! My skin drinks it up. I use both morning and night. Layers well under makeup. 10/10. This is a staple in my routine.

Super Feuchtigkeit und sehr angenehm auf der Haut. Ich benutze es morgens und abends vor meiner Creme und meine Haut fühlt sich viel weicher und ruhiger an. Auch unter Make-up funktioniert es richtig gut — inzwischen kann ich mir meine Routine ohne dieses Produkt kaum noch vorstellen

Wasn’t sure about this at first but I’ve used it for months now and it really makes my skin so soft and doesn’t flare up my rosacea which it great. Overall I would recommend.

This stuff is magical. I have been using the Thayers milky toner for a year or so and my skin never really improved, after the first use of this stuff, my skin felt hydrated and smooth. If you're on the fence, buy it! This is now a part of my daily routine.
