They work, in a phrase, fine. I am not delighted but neither am I disappointed. This would be a good pair of backup headphones.What could be improved:- The earbud covers are the circular ones, which, while standard, aren't the most ergonomical.- They block out a decent amount of sound, but I don't think I'd bring these onto a plane expecting them to cancel out the engine noise, even with my volume turned high.- They're lighter on the bass.- If you want them to stay in your ear, you have to really push them all the way in, otherwise they fall out. I like to listen to music while biking, so being able to trust that the one earbud I have in won't fall out and get tangled in my wheels is important to me. Have not tried the microphone since this is something I generally don't use.I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the extra earbuds. The extra earbuds that come with other brands are either very large or very small. The ones that came with these are closer to the medium size that are already on the headphones. I use headphones a lot and am hard on them, so the extra earbuds are something I do use as I lose the originals.So far these are excellent headphones for the price.Edit: forgot to add that the plug is straight which is good.
