I have shingles on my face (forehead, eye lid and in my left eye). Yes, of course I went to the Dr and got that part all sorted out - it is the most dangerous kind of shingles a person can get because of proximity to your brain. Taking antiviral medication.. But the same virus *different variant* that causes shingles and chickenpox also causes cold sores. I bought this to treat the blisters on my forehead and help with the itchy, dry, painful cracking that came along with the shingles and let me tell you.. it WORKED. I'm lucky to have never gotten a cold sore, but unlucky in the shingles department, considering I'm still in my late 30s. I always keep this Quantum Lysine on hand. One in my purse for emergencies and one in my medicine drawer. I have gotten cold sores since I was a little kid, I hate them! They hurt and they look terrible! As soon as I feel a tingle I put a tiny bit right on the spot that’s tingling and I continue to put it on throughout the day. A lot of times it never even surfaces. When it does surface it’s not as painful as it would be without it or with a different product. This stuff also cuts the healing time in half! My daughter and I swear by this stuff! It use to only be 3 or 4 bucks. I think people started buying it up and now the company knows they’ve got a gem of a product. It’s totally worth the money though! This was a miracle to have the cold sore disappear within 5 days! I’ve never had a cold sore before, so I was pretty much in the dark re what would work. It’s also cheaper than many others, but absolutely did the trick!!

I used to constantly get fever blisters all year round. They would come on if I was stressed, sick, sunburned, if my immune system was down, and what felt like anytime they wanted to. Helped clear up cold sore

I get cold sores on the columella of my nose and inside of my nose. This has helped so much! I used to have to wait it out for 2 weeks and let it crust over. This ointment keeps the area moist, brings down swelling, and helps with pain. The cold sores don’t advance and it’s almost like it stops the cold sores in its tracks. I will continue to order this and recommend to anyone suffering from cold sores!

This was incredible! I applied every 2 hours and within a day saw improvement. By the fourth day, my cold sore was entirely gone. I was hesitant to try the product, but it worked!! 5/5 would recommend.

I used this product for my most recent cold sore flare up and it was the mildest cold sore that lasted the shortest ever on me. I felt the tingle at night right before going to sleep, did nothing, the small sore came out the next morning. I put on hydrocolloid patch(pimple patch) on that morning. By the afternoon I felt it getting bigger so I ordered this product to be delivered by the next morning. I immediately put this ointment on when I received it in the morning which is the second morning of my cold sore. From then on this ointment replaced my hydrocolloid patch. On day three the sore scabbed a little, without enlarging, swelling, puss and throbbing. I was really impressed. On day four which is today, just a tiny scab left and feels like nothing.
