The shelves are wide enough to fit two rows of books which is nice. The drawers are nice but probably can't fit a large amount of weight (less then 10 lbs). I built it by myself and it took about 2 and a half hours while getting distracted multiple times. The only time I can see you needing two people is when the shelves get connected to the drawers as these are built separately and then put together. Directions are extremely clear and easy to follow. The only thing I disliked was when I tried using my power drill and many different drill bits but it kept stripping the B screws (only the B screws). I switched to a hand held screwdriver and it was the same issue so I carried on but was still able to build it.
