I don’t know the bottom width of a standard shaker bottle but I can tell you that the holder was designed for a SmartWater 1L bottle which is 2.75” across at the bottom of the bottle. I hope this helps. **Q: Does it stretch** A: It doesn't really stretch, but it is big enough to hold the 1 liter smart water bottle in the picture. But probably not anything wider than that. I use mine for standard half liter water bottles. **Q: Does it stretch from the sides for wider bottles?** A: The mesh part does not stretch but is big enough for the 1 liter smart water bottle in the pictures. But that is a tall narrow bottle. **Q: How do I attach the 3 rear elastic bands to the shoulder strap?** A: Thank you for reaching out.
