Revolutionary headphones that changed how I experience music and workouts!
These SHOKZ OpenMove bone conduction headphones have been absolutely game-changing for my active lifestyle and completely solved my biggest audio frustrations - the quality is outstanding with innovative bone conduction technology that delivers surprisingly rich, clear sound while allowing me to stay completely aware of my surroundings for safety during outdoor runs, cycling, and gym workouts. The functionality is incredible as the open-ear design means I can listen to music, podcasts, or take calls without blocking ambient sound, which has been perfect for staying alert to traffic, fellow runners, or gym conversations, and I love how comfortable they feel during long workouts without any ear canal pressure or that sweaty, plugged-up feeling I always hated with traditional earbuds. They look great with a sleek, modern design that doesn't scream "fitness gear" so I can wear them comfortably in professional settings for calls or casual listening, and the secure fit means they never slip or fall off even during the most intense workout sessions or outdoor adventures. At this price point, it's amazing value for cutting-edge technology that has genuinely improved both my safety and enjoyment during physical activities - these headphones have eliminated the constant dilemma of choosing between good audio and situational awareness, and the Bluetooth connectivity is rock-solid with impressive battery life that gets me through multiple long runs without needing to recharge, making this one of the smartest fitness investments I've made for combining my love of music with my commitment to safe, enjoyable exercise.

Comfort good quality and sold sound
Well worth the price, for those who don’t like to ware ear buds. The head set speakers rest in front of your ears. You’re still able to hear people speaking to you if the volume is not maxed. I find the sound quality clear, no crackling sounds. Control buttons are easy to use. I use them a lot at work. They’re light weight and comfortable to wear. Fully charged battery I have gotten about 8hrs before the headset tells you to “charge me”. I will defiantly buy Shokz again.

These actually sound good for bone conductors. Connecting is easy, charging is quick and hilds a charge well, controls are small but not too difficult. They didnt fit my head very well so I gave them to my kid who wore them for everything he did basically,.

A bit awkward, but overall good device
I've been a fan of this brand for a while. It was honestly a godsend for me, as I can't wear inner earbuds. My ear canals are too small for even the smallest ones I've found. I don't like carrying around big over the ear headphones and the outer earbuds are kind of becoming a thing of the past, particularly after phones started dropping the audio jack. I got one of the mid-priced ones they had and they lasted me a good long while - they still work, but they finally broke in a way that I can't really repair without impacting the device's ability to rest on my temporal bones. For reference, I got these before the company rebranded themselves from Aftershokz to simply Shokz, which I think happened about 5 years ago. These likely would have lasted longer, except that I'm admittedly a bit rough on my electronics. These are a marked change from the earlier unit, which was smooth silicone and plastic. I chose these for the price point, but also because I thought the metal might make them harder to break. I'll have to wait a bit to weigh in on that one, as the older pair I had took years to finally start breaking down. Others have mentioned that these are a bit awkward on the head compared to the ones in the higher priced tiers. I have to agree on that. While I do think I'm getting a more durable unit, the headset is a bit more awkwardly placed than the other models. At times it sort of battles for space with my eyeglasses, but not in a way that I'd find a deal breaker. It's just a bit of a transition period, although if you are very sensitive to things like that I recommend going for one of the slimmer units. As far as sound goes, these are nice. I can tell that they've worked on the sound quality since their earlier units, as it's a bit crisper and clearer than my other set. I do get the impression that the higher dollar sets might be a bit better, but I think that's more because it might sit on the temporal bone a bit more smoothly than these might on my head. Other than that, I am pretty happy that the headset can be charged with a type C USB cord. This makes it easier to charge these any time, any where. These have a decent amount of charge time so I'm not particularly worried about this running out all of a sudden, but it is good to have. These do hold less of a charge than the mid-tier units, so keep that in mind. If you're someone who often goes long periods without charging things or can spend 10+hours using your headphones, you'll definitely want to go with the next tier up. Still, for my purposes these are fine. Another user mentioned some ear soreness - I haven't experienced that so far. I think part of this is because I'm kind of used to this via my eyeglasses and prior set - but I think that this will vary by person in general. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with these. I will admit that I liked the mid-tier type headset more as far as charge time and comfort goes, but this gets the job done and meets my needs. It also feels slightly more durable, but time will only tell with that. I might eventually replace these with a mid-tier when they wear out, but if they're anything like my old headset it's going to be a while and it'll go out kicking and screaming. Highly recommend.

Sound great, easy to use
These headphones are great for consumers who are active and are looking for headphones that don’t impede their ability to hear their surroundings. The Shokz hang snugly over the ears but not in them and works through bone conduction which works perfectly. This means that there is nothing going into, or over the ears muffling the ambient noises from around like traditional headphones that must be pulled out or off to the side from them to listen. For outdoor users this means a great deal to their safety being able to hear other people coming up to them whether it be runners, bicyclists, or more importantly motor vehicles. The sound quality from the Shokz is amazingly clear and it comes preprogrammed with different EQ settings like standard mode, or vocal booster mode that are easy to toggle through with a touch of a button. These Shokz are also sweatproof, so damage from that should not be a worry. If for whatever reason they do end up being damaged, they are covered by a two-year warranty by the manufacturer to give some added peace of mind. Their customer service department is amazingly easy to reach out to and get help with whether it be troubleshooting an issue or claiming a damaged product online. They reach out promptly and professionally. These headphones will not disappoint consumers looking to being safe outside while enjoying some great tunes and playlists. For those hesitant on the price point keep an eye out for sales. They happen multiple times a year and get down as low as fifty dollars for a new set.

Despite ear surgery, I can hear ! Even my surgeon is amazed!
Openmove has restored my sanity. I recently had ear surgery where the ENT surgeon had removed two of my hearing ear bones due to a longstanding infection in my left ear, rendering my left ear mostly deaf. Also, my eardrum is packed with medical gel holding a graft in place. I gave my Openmove headphones a try but using the left transducer pressed up tightly against the top of my head. Yea, it's awkward looking, but surprisingly, it works. Bypassing my dead eardrum and using my head as a sound conductor, I'm hearing sounds I haven't heard in 1/2 century of hearing problems Sound quality for me is actually better. For someone who was walking around unable to make out conversations, or hear TV or music, I was driving everyone, including myself, crazy. I have many different bone conduction brands. They didn't work for me in this experiment. I'm guessing it was the louder volume and the way the Openmove transducer sits against the top of my head that makes it effective. I've even worn these headphones at night over my head. Will they work for you? I don't know. I wish Shotz made a bone conduction hearing aid with these specs so I could hear the world like I'm hearing it through Bluetooth. Battery life is okay so I always have a second pair recharging. I wish they were a tighter fit so I wouldn't have to move them around so much. But for now, I feel my head is like a big bose speaker. I'm hearing music sounds I couldn't hear before.

Good luck having it last longer than a year
Quality is great when it works, but they break quickly. The first time my pair broke, it was thankfully just within the warranty window, and they got replaced. A mere month later, the replacement broke. They honored the warranty, only to have the new replacement (i.e., the third pair) break less than a year later, after the warranty was expired. I'm hoping that the more expensive pair doesn't break as easily, but if it does, I'm swearing off this company. For clarity, "break" means technical issues: one day, it just stops working. It turns on and pairs to the phone, but no sound comes out.

Love these open ear bone conducting headphones!
I just got these, so I still need to play around to see if there’s any glitches. But so far so good. Very comfortable! I’ve worn them for about six hours straight and they just get a little sore next to my ears. But they stay in place and fit really well. I can lean back in my wheelchair and When I walk with my walker they don’t fall off like earbuds do. What I like about these is that they don’t block out sound. They leave your ears open so you can still have conversations with people, or if you’re riding a bike or taking a walk you can hear if there are traffic Nearby, or if someone is trying to get your attention. Great for walks, business meetings, and other things. I am actually visually impaired. So I use something called a screen reader on my phone. This means that all buttons, notifications, text, and anything else that is visually on the screen gets read out loud by a synthetic voice. I don’t always want people around me to know who I’m messaging or what Social media I’m browsing. So having these as an option is wonderful. I can be playing my Spotify playlist, listening to an audiobook or a podcast, but also hear if someone is approaching me. I can sit around the campfire and be browsing my Facebook, but still have conversations with my friends around me without them having to hear my phone talk on and on. These stay charged for a super long time! I only have to charge them maybe once a week. And that’s with heavy use. The sound quality is decent, not a lot of base or Chrispness but for, $99 you really can’t beat it. The next thing I have to test however if it works with phone calls. If it does then these are perfect! I did go on discord, which is an audio chat app for gamers. And I played word games with my friends and everyone could hear me and I could hear them perfectly. 👍🏼 would recommend
