Komelon 6633 Open Reel Fiberglass Tape Measure, 300-Feet, Yellow

Works great. Needed to measure property lines that were over 150' long and this was just the right tool. The engineering scale on the back was just what I needed for accurate measurements. Found buried corner markers exactly at the measurement they were supposed to be. It doesn't roll up as tight as it was from the factory but it's more than good enough. It's light weight, the versatility of inch and engineering scales and is priced right. If you need a 300' tape, this one will definitely do the job.

I originally had 100 foot metal tape and needed some thing a little longer Once I bought a house and was doing projects in and out of the house. The fiberglass tape is sturdy and solid. I like one sides fluorescent on the other sides not. Easy to carry, it comes with a stake So you can work by yourself if needed and it as long enough for general use needs at least for me. It may not be the cheapest, but I think it’s worth the price. Even the plastic carry handle seems solid and sturdy.

I use one everyday. They last the longest out of all the tapes I have used.

Don't break the ground stake! Holy smokes, what kind of company does zero product testing on their own product and didn't realize once they snapped in the ground stake to the side of the reel it would NEVER come out again without insane force and likely breaking? Totally stupid. I used a small flathead screwdriver and pried at the sides little by little top to bottom and finally got it out, but not without gouging the plastic reel and the ground stake. I used a razorblade and shaved off the bumps that hold the ground stake into the side of the reel and now it still holds well enough not to drop out but doesn't take He-Man strength to take out myself. The reel itself is nice and strong, the ribbon cable is strong, and the ribbon cable ends work great for multiple staking options. I needed this to measure out a small piece of land at one point and didn't want to use my 25' tape measure and this was a whole lot better than doing it that way! The reel knob is sturdy and it feels like this will last a long time with a lot of use, I just haven't needed it for that many projects so far. Very easy to use, clearly marked tape measurements, easy to reel, easy to unreal, good material, good value for the money. I still think this is probably the best reel on the market for the money, but man that stupid ground stake issue is kind of hard to ignore.

Sturdy product that doesn't feel like it will break when I'm pulling the line taut. Winds up smoothly and easily. The included marking stake is a nice feature. Solidly built. No complaints.

I have no issue recommending this to anyone who needs a tape this long and wants to save money. It is durable, easy to read, it is printed on both sides, and the plastic stake snaps in place very snugly and doesn’t fall out when not in use. So glad I got this vs a more expensive name-brand tape.

Yes. This is a very well made, well thought out, simple 300 foot tape measure. When not using it, the handle folds down and effectively locks the tape from unspooling when you don’t want it to unspool. The tape has inches and feet on both sides, and is coated with a very slippery surface which makes unwinding it and rewinding it very easy. It comes with a red stake which you can use to anchor one end of the tape when using it by yourself. ( My only improvement has been to slightly shave down the small ridge which keeps the red stake snapped into the unit when not using it - the snap is too tight otherwise). Really a first-class product.
