AWESOME BEST EVER mold - easy
This mold is easy to use and makes a perfect mold. A few added directions as I used it...1. Make sure when you place the butter there are no areas exposed2. Try not to cover the connecting holes and pins with butter. If you do make sure you clear the butter in the holes after each use.3. Follow the directions exactly4. Make sure you use vegetable oil in the mold before the first use. Pour it in let it set for a few minutes then more it out and sit again for at least an hour, then wipe it out lightly.5. Don't miss this step. Soak the mold in cold water BEFORE you place the butter. Remove from the ice cold water drip dry by holding it upside down. Don't wipe it dry.6. If you want your lamb to look wooly take a tooth pick and LIGHTLY scratch the surface of the butter after you remove it from the mold.7. Use room temperature butter. To do so remove from the refrigerator put on a microwave safe plate (wrapping included) microwave for 8-10 sec (no more than 10 or your butter won't work in the mold). Unwrap butter and place in mold8. Avoid touching the butter it will melt and you will get finger prints or dents in your butter.9. To fix any imperfections wash your hands, rub hands together to make them a little warm. Take your index finger and place on the imperfection and very gently move your finger downward to "warm -melt" imperfection away.I have made 15 as a gifts so far and each one came out perfectly! BTW I am not great at DIY anyone can make these adorable Lamb butters. A great tradition to start. (PS - I am not catholic either - I am a Christian :) and I love the story - Cant wait to share with my kids)
