I purchased this iron last fall and I was initially pleased with it. After a few months, however, the steam burst button started to stick and eventually became permanently depressed meaning I was unable to get a burst of steam. I contacted Singer as it was still under warranty and they did send a replacement. Unfortunately, the exact same issue occurred within a couple of months. I have again contacted Singer and they are sending another replacement ( a different model). Reading other reviews, I can see that this has happened to others and is therefore a defect in this iron. I don't have a lot of faith that the slightly different model will be much different but I'll have to wait and see. If you intend to use this iron much ( I use it for sewing), you may have issues with it. I certainly won't be purchasing another Singer product as it appears that the quality of their products has deteriorated.

This iron is great for sharp points, buttons and any projects. The heat is great, better than most irons and its price point is fabulous. Great bang for your buck.
