Looks nice
Well, I can tell you that this stuff looks good. Large, pearly white cloves of garlic floating serenely in a jar of crystal clear vinegar. As for the taste? Wouldn't know. The lid is so tight I've got more chance of getting off with Gal Gadot than I have of getting in that jar. I've tried everything. I ran it under hot water until the contents started to boil. I've bent more spoons than Uri Geller. I've only stopped short of using power tools as I'm guessing an angle grinder might affect the flavour of the garlic. I asked my neighbour, a huge, bodybuilding ex Royal Marine, if he could try to open it for me. After 5 minutes he handed it back unopened. His face was so purple his kids started calling him Thanos. I saw him today and he was wearing a wrist brace and refused to make eye contact. I think I might put a call out via Facebook and ask if someone worthy can remove it and, by doing so, prove they are the rightful king of Britain. Until then I have resigned myself to being the proud owner of a purely ornamental jar of pickled garlic. Hopefully it will be a "conversation piece" when guests come over. Five stars. *update * So, after 5 days, one broken "magic jar opener! as seen on tv!" An entire cutlery drawer of bent and broken utensils, countless bruised egos and a trip to A&E we have finally managed to get the jar open thanks to my teenage nephew, who despite rarely leaving his room, has a remarkably strong right hand. Having finally tasted the pickled garlic I can say it's OK, nothing amazing but not too bad, although it certainly doesn't merit the trauma caused getting into it.
