Will this work on 14 feet high and 16 wide door?

The with of the door doesn't matter. I installed them on with no problem on a 14 high door, you just have to make sure the shaft for the springs is a keyed shaft

how long does 1" shaft have to be for the pulley assembly to fit?

The pulley and guide are about 1” so I guess you would need about 1 1/2”

Nodrogrb, how did you extend it?

We put a longer tight fitting pipe into the existing one from the door and used a pipe the same size as the door pipe to extend it out further. Works like a charm. Hope this helps
