Last year with a combination of blades and knives My hunting partner and I butchered 2 bull Moose. You have to be very careful, we used kevlar reinforced gloves. There were a couple times where I poked the glove, Im sure glad that I was wearing them . My only complaint is a couple of times the blade came off of the knife. I then had to find the blade.....scary knowing how sharp they are. As small as it is, it gets the jod done. Definitely recommended! **Q: The handle steel or plastic?** A: Plastic but very sturdy. I have some excellent knives and an excellent knife sharpener, but the convenience of simply (but VERY carefully) switching out a blade and always having a nice new razor sharp one ready to go is awesome in my old age. I’ve read/heard some complaints (u-Tube) concerning it being too light weight and unsuitable for heavy use such as prying around bones when field dressing an animal. We’ll… I wouldn’t go bear hunting with a .22 either. That doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with a .22 it simply means somebody’s ability to select the right tool for the job just very well might be lacking. The knife has a nice grip. I personally think of it and use it as a long bladed scalpel. Replacement blades are readily available on line and/or Bass Pro. I have gone through about 20 blades in the year or two I’ve owned it and imagine going through a great many more before I die as this knife will definitely outlast me.
