How is the action on this guitar out of the box?

That is going to be completely dependent on the seller and whether or not they perform an adjustment and setup service on the guitar before shipping it. All guitars we sell are stored in a humidity controlled environment and completely adjusted by our in house luthier before shipping. We can also adjust to specific customer parameters if requested.

yes, any 1/4 standard instrument cable will work.

has anyone changed the plastic saddle if so which one did you buy?

We upgrade these saddles all of the time for customers. Most popular material is Tusq for the improvement in tone and durability.
