Perfectly Safe - If you know what you are doing
I don't normally write reviews, but felt compelled to respond to the lady who insists that this bike is "NOT SAFE.". I can clearly see what her problem is. In the review photo she posted, the two screws that hold the stem to the steering tube haven't been tightened, this is a critical step in the assembly. After you tighten the top screw (just tight enough to prevent the fork from wobbling in the frame) you then have to tighten the two side screws on the stem so that the handlebars don't move side to side. I get it, not everyone is mechanically inclined. But if something doesn't seem right, maybe re-read the owners manual or consult a professional before blaming the product.

Wonderful upgrade or 1st bike, light weight and sturdy
A great step-up from a training wheel bike. My child is now 55โ 68 lbs and have long since out grown the first bike. Shopped around and decided on this Raleigh 24โ due to its price and weight. We could have spent 2x more $ and would have ended up with the same type of frame and components so we are definitely happy to have made this purchase and above all, our child loves the color ๐คฃ

Handle bar low and far, back tire installed wrong, no kick stand
This review is for Lily 24 Kids Mountain Bike for Girls, Blue. The rider needs to bend down with hands extended forward to ride this bike. I did not buy this bike to train my kid for Tour De France. The back tire came installed in the wrong direction and the direction markings are clear on the tire. It's too much hassle to fix it because there are way too many things attached to the back wheel. I can't find any center kick stand that works with this bike. There is not enough clearance and angle to add a generic kick stand. When you screw up so much with the design and come up this odd-shaped circus, you should also add the kick stand that is just as unique. The positives - the bike is lightweight and wheels are colorful.

Well Built Bike, Components Seem Rugged
I was pleasantly surprised at the build quality of this bike and good quality of the components, like wheels and shifting mechanisms. My granddaughter loves it especially since she can go faster than ever. Control and maneuverability are good also. Assembly was very simple, and adjustments are easy.

weight
Like the weight; and easy to step through; gears are good live on small hill and tow a small trailer in back with surf board on top of it, after surfing ๐ for a few hours I'm pretty tired, and that's where the weight comes in with all the wet clothes, I'm very happy for the light weight of the bike, for climbing back that little Hill with all the extra weight.
